  1. The Casey Scorpions will be looking to knock of the VFL's big fish of 2015 - the premiers Williamstown - this Saturday evening at Casey Fields. The Scorpions are on top of the ladder undefeated while the Seagulls are 1 -1 having lost last week to the Box Hill Hawks. With a couple of players coming back into the side, Casey should have a strong team to take them on and retain top spot..
  2. 3. I would have gone to Casey Fields today but for the fact that I've come back from overseas with a cold so I gave it a miss. I prefer to be fit and ready for the season proper than to dally around with pre season training. Anyhow, would appreciate reports. I think some of our best training reports have come from Casey locals in the past so here's hoping for high standards again n 2016.
  4. Headed in this morning as 200m from home. Not much to report early. Gus & H are out there and are looking good. Dunny has a heavily strapped knee. And during their first jog around the ground, Jesse was at the back of the pack and not smiling. Should I be worried???
  5. Any one have any information regarding MFC players available for Casey selection tomorrow. All I have picked up is the Jack Viney is likely to line up for the Scorps again. Anyone planning on doing the Casey/Dees double header?
  6. Was going through some articles recently on this topic and came across this: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-03-29/tigers-on-the-prowl This line caught my eye: "A third option for a boutique stadium could be Casey Fields at Cranbourne.' Wonder what peoples thoughts of this would be if it meant for instance we played 3 home games a year there but didn't have to play in Darwin or Etihad? Personally I'd be all for it. Especially as I'm building opposite the ground!
  7. I would expect that most of those who missed out on selection for the Port Adelaide game will be involved for the Casey Scorpions against Box Hill tomorrow. Details: SATURDAY MARCH 30 Casey Scorpions v Box Hill at Casey Fields Development League 11am, VFL 2pm. One player I know who will be keen to get on the park is Max Gawn who tweeted yesterday:- Melbourne also re-instated Max to the senior list yesterday, having been on the long-term injury list since January 25 due to a hamstring injury. This followed more than a year's lay-off following his second ACL operation. I think it's fair to say that all at Demonland wish Max well on his return to the game. I'll be there to cheer him on! No doubt we'll also see James Magner who possibly would have been close to promotion to the senior list and even AFL selection but now would have to wait for a vacancy on the list to open up again.
  8. SATURDAY MARCH 23 Casey Scorpions vs Port Melbourne at Casey Fields DL 11am VFL 2pm Up to ten Melbourne listed players including Mitch Clark and Jack Trengove could turn out for Casey Scorpions in this Saturday's practice match against Port Melbourne at Casey Fields. Dees wait on VFL form of Mitch Clark and Jack Trengove before elevating to Round 1 action Sam Blease, Chris Dawes, Tom McDonald and Jack Viney are all in the mix to play in advance of the club's season opener against another Port team - Big names set for Casey hit out
