2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Oh Please WJ I am in Draft overload!

Arent you interested in who we're going to pick with selection 18 next year?

There aren't 14 free agents that would yield band one compensation haha

Greg Clarke the one to watch from WA underager in the U/18 championships this year playing across Half Back. Smooth mover and was given the occassional run in the Subiaco Colts (coached by Stevie Armstrong) through the midfield and showed a bit.

Will be very interested to see what they do with him this season. He will be drafted just a matter of where he goes another Northern Suburbs boy from the Sorrento-Duncraig production line

no

Top 5 already...

Parish

Tucker

Mathieson

Burton

Cole

O'Kearney, Schache, Stewart and Weitering could be around the mark too.

Any idea where Jake Lovett would go if on the open market?

I think he was being talked up as a first round pick a while ago, but these things change during the year.

Still think he's a first rounder, but probably fringes of the top 10 rated kids at this stage.

Someone tell him to put the brakes on. Or at least get him to play for Manangatang 3rds.

I hope he is like his father - slow, thighs like treetrunks, couldn't jump - and an absolute champ....

Brett had the wonderful ability to find space where there was none. Surrounded by four opposition players, deep in the back pocket, and Father Time slow generally meant the odds were heavily in Brett's favour. Bit of a hip shimmy and out would come a perfectly weighted handball to a running Melbourne player.

Along with Sean Wight one of my all time favourite players

As others have said another Demon team featuring Lovett, Stretch and Viney can only be a good thing

Not a ruckman mentioned, after a couple of years of limited new ruck intakes already.

Competent full-time ruckmen could be the next 'shortage' player type, with ridiculous, long and overpriced contracts and top trade value.

Also suggests that even a rough-and-tumble, slightly goofy ruckman could become a valuable asset overpowering scrawny young or part-time rucks filling the generational gap.

Jake Spencer may yet get through to 100+ games.

nah not put brakes on put weight on & play flat out. he can't help if he hasn't a tank. or the obsessiveness to train to elite fitness.

Wouldn't let the shortage of ruckman in the 2015 draft this far out bother me or even in 12 months time if there is a perceived lack of ruck stocks

Darren Jolly, Dean Cox, Aaron Sandilands, Ivan Maric, Sam Jacobs, Shane Mumford and Mike Pyke have all been significant contributors to their sides over the last 15 years. There will always be ruckman popping up.

Hopefully Jake continues to keep a low profile...

heard he had a major drug problem and likes a drink too much and nightclubbing to 4am
