Coaches Match Day wear

Coaches should wear suits at games - polo shirts look cheap and kitsch. Discuss

I really just want to see Roosy and Goody recreate this photo one day.

Sure and we should go back to listening to the wireless as tv does not exist and all have parted hair.

Bring back the good ol days.

Ra ra rumble seats and running boards they were the good old days ...

I'd be happy if they just change the tops to Blue. I can't take them seriously in the red polos. It looks cheap and amateur.

So that's what happened; he must have left, his people needed him...

That's not a good look Mark.

I reckon Williams had every right to carry on like he did. As far as I understand it, Allan Scott believed that because he was tipping serious money into the club he should have a say in who coaches the club. He had been undermining Williams for quite some time.

As an aside, EPL manages appear more professional to me by way of dress than the polo shirt look. If need be stick a sponsor logo on the shirt collar as Williams had.

I always prefered a pair of Levi's and a Miller shirt and RMs

But just for you i will agree with a suit.

I think a logo on the collar looks worse, polo or suit without any logos.

.... we have some blazers lying around somewhere don't we?

and they should bring back the traditional dressing gowns for the bench

What about the ciggie at 3/4 time?

Trainers only using a towel, with one end being wet in case your battered unconcious.

I completely agree. The trackies make them and the league look like amateurs.

They should also bring back dimsims and cigarettes breaks for players during games.

safari suits......very much maligned !!

Pure Class

Not all Gorg! However, I do wear one under the spandex, on occasion.

i keep telling you, if you keep that up you'll never be a super hero

you have the attention span of a gnat

I'm only talking about when I'm in the gym dc! I load it up with a marrow* and swagger about in the weights room. Can't get any more super hero than that.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
