It's really strange that he hasn't signed yet. It's almost like there's a club out there that has had him lined up from a long way out and is just waiting for trade week to commence.

Tigers, apparently.

Personally I'd love to get him in. Can't understand why Kangas are prioritising the likes of Waite and Higgins over him.

Agreed, well almost if they think they are in the window for the next couple of years I understand Waite. But Higgins I really can't understand 2007 he was very good and looked like he was going to be a Top level player but a big underachiever for mine

If getting Higgins has cost Greenwood then on the face of it that is some stupid list management.

The Greenwood to Collingwood deal will be very interesting. I firmly expect Collingwood to offer up a mid 2nd round for pick for Greenwood, at the time same they try to argue Lumumba is worth pick 23. The reality is Greenwood should be in the pick 15-20 range, Lumumba somewhere around pick 40 given that his current club doesn't want him.

Love the collingwood attitude, they demand to pay peanuts for what they want and want double value for everything they get rid of, even their garbage. they are looking to use our pick for HL to pick up greenwood, If that is the case though I like the idea of HL running off the backline for us I would rather spend that pick on greenwood instead.

Agreed, absolute flogs. Want our second rounder for Lamumba so they can get Greenwood with it.

No need to waste our second rounder so stupidly after the good luck we had to keep it after FS bidding.

Geelong's second rounder has very little currency.

How about we use our second rounder on Greenwood and take Labamba in the draft. I like that idea a lot more.

Be ruthless dees!

I, for one, would love to know if we tried chasing Greenwood, and if we didn't, why not, especially a pick in the 20's does the deal.

Couldn't agree more.

I'd love for someone with some inside knowledge to explain what happened with us and Greenwood? He would be our 3rd best midfielder. We had the pick to make it happen. We must have the money as our list is sub-standard.

I can't work out why we weren't mentioned with Greenwood or Howlett for that matter?

It's interesting - at the end of our season (ie Round 9), I started watching other midfielders, looking at who I think we should make a play at. At the right price, Greenwood was my number one choice. I had it in my mind a pick in the 10-20 range would be a very good get, but thought it'd be highly unlikely that Norf would let him go, and if they did they would want/deserve better.

I rate him, think he has the potential to take his game to a level or two higher than what he did this year.

Btw, Norf trade in Higgins at the expense of Greenwood, what the hell is that all about? North and Carlton using the same trade strategy book lol. Shitt clubs. Hope they both burn.

I don't think HL is OOC.

That is why the Pies and Bombers are known as the worst teams to deal with.

Collingwood recruiters and list management are hoping to get the deal done before Levi meets Nathan Buckley.

Why go after Greenwood when we have Dangerfield and Brayshaw in the bag?

Er, because we have the worst midfield in the comp and need to improve upon McKenzie, M Jones, Byrnes, etc

Is it too late for Greenwood? Can we swoop in with our second rounder and trump cwood or has that ship sailed? We stuffed up here I recon, should have pounced when North were inquiring abOut Higgins and wait and ignoring Greenwood.

what a monumental coq-up for norf

overpaid for higgins and lose a guy who was 1 vote off B&F this year

just luurvin it

And possibly very popular among the players.

Can't possibly understand why we aren't swooping in with a better offer here, both financially and in terms of picks? Collingwood will offer peanuts for him. We'll give our second rounder?

And really, are the two clubs that hard to separate at the moment? Sure, we suck, but there's not the stink around us like there is with Buckley at the moment.

Reports that Levi is now considering staying at North.

I guess he met Buckley before putting pen to paper after all.
