really sad to see Collingwood miss the finals!!!

too bad Essendope made it though

Would prefer the filth to those cheating buggers. Neither will be much more than fodder I suspect

Bloody boring footy to watch tonight and will probably be the same tomorrow night.

At least I finally got the chance to watch the last episode of Sons of Anarchy which was on December 13.

Looking forward to the 7th and final season.

Beats watching the footy.

Just a curiosity

Collingwood got done over by the Hawks losing with a lower score than we managed and lost by a greater margin.

Got to take yoyr jollies where you can ;)

I'm not that excited that Collingwood missed the finals, care factor for footy is at an all-time low.

All I care about now is Richmond missing out on finals which will f*k off all of their stupid bandwagoners, and for Hawks to not win the granny, living with Hawks supporters is never a fun time especially when they always hang crap on how bad Melbourne are, all I have against them is that we have more flags than them, just...

Let's hope we get a move on before that changes.

ii support any club thats playing essendrug

they are so much worse than carlton and collingwood

One of the strangest decisions of the season against Brock for bumping too hard.

I think Richmond will win. Franklin's out, plus no Kennedy and a couple of others. Richmond at full strength. Sydney sucks at ANZ too. Richmond with it all to play for, Sydney couldn't care less.

Richmond to win.

Richmond to win.

Could the same be said for us tonight?

A draw! Nearly made it through the season without one but with 8 games left we get one. Means as much as a win to Essendon though, ensures them a home final next week.

Can't believe Carlton didn't score at the end though. How they didn't at least get a behind from that Gibbs shot was crazy.

Could the same be said for us tonight?

If we were any other side, yes.

makes me sick Essendrug will be allowed to play finals

This can't be. It's their destiny to finish 9th because of us! Because we knocked them off in their tribute match!

Oh the pain of it all!

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
