Turns out he's a she and is going steady with Frawley. My source is unreliable at best

I was pretty happy with the LinkedIn comment too.

That one got an audible laugh out of me.

Honestly, I've found it difficult to get too worked up about the whole Clark thing.

I never really expected him to come back & thought we'd get nothing in terms of compensation for his retirement.

So to get a return in a trade, even if it's seen as not enough... is still a lot more than the nothing I expected.

If he plays well and consistently, which I don't think he will, then maybe I'll be questioning what we could have had.

But there's a big risk involved there, and I'm sick of having a big void on the playing list due to Clark.

I'd rather just move on to the next disappointment.

Dunn is a little disgruntled, disgruntled, please is that the best he can do, we are a basket case of a club crying out for players like mc and then he wants to up and go and dunn is a little disgruntled. Dunn Is standing up for MC showing he is a good friend, after all they have known each other how long and played together how often, so while Dunn supports his friend, MC leaves all of his new demon friends and supporters. sorry I have lost all faith in MC as a player and disappointed with what I believe is a lack of personal integrity.

Collingwood and Geelong have done their due diligence on his fitness and mental health and both still want him, which indicates that he is in pretty good shape, yet they will try to buy him as damaged goods and we will take whatever compensation we can get.

If we dont like what geelong are offering can we just turn around and trade him to Colonwood?

Don't think Roos would endorse Dunn's comments given what he quite deliberately said at the B&F.

I rate Dunn. Always have. But I'm disappointed with some of the comments he has chosen to publicly make on this issue.

Really?

He's just standing up for a bloke he has worked with for a few years.

There is nothing wrong with that.

The Age tweeted that Clark has chosen Geelong.

So that rules out Mrs Frawley as the alleged third party

Mitch is a joke.. He changes his mind like a pair of underwear. An absolute disgrace of the game.

Whose underwear though ?

Thats the easy part, nominating a club, now how do we get a deal that works knowing that Clark can walk as a Delisted Free agent. We are going to get rightfully shafted with this. I like the idea of Billy Smedts and third round pick for Clark and our fourth round pick.

. Straight swap for Hawkins would be about right.

I must have missed the Dunn statement - is there a link or a copy available.

nah..preferred your crossing the road and spitting in the face post.

Don't know about you guys, but personally, if a work colleague leaves my employer to take up a position elsewhere, that person is then dead to me.

If I see them on the opposite side of the street, I'll cross, walk up to them and spit in their face.

I think it's only reasonable to expect such a reaction.

Nice, I think the bronx kiss is a bit underrated.

self-righteous, unappreciative Dunn has removed his facebook post, and in turn all the comments at supporters having a go back at him

likely somebody at the club saw it and immediately ordered it taken down

but it doesn't die because we cut and pasted and quoted it here

you would think the club might think about making some kind of statement to address a supporter base that is obviously fuming

quite a club we have going here

Both Taylor Hunt and Travis Varcoe have declined an offer to join Melbourne as part of a deal for Mitch Clark.

Good!

As long as he is prepared to go there.

Gee now we are attacking our own players for showing a bit of loyalty to a former team mate.

No wonder players don't want to come to us, we are on the bottom and our fans attack their own players.

Get over it. See the post after yours by DD 4385.

Good!

This mornings SEN phone poll was "Do you think Geelong should give up its first round draft pick for Mitch Clark"? When I heard it I thought you have got to be kidding. Well the final result was 66% of callers said yes!!

So there you have it, the people have spoken Balmy! Now let's do it.

Given Mahoney's comments this morning this could easily read: "Melbourne decline to make an offer to Hunt and Varcoe as part of Mitch Clark deal".

Face saving by said players!

I still think that when all is said and done, the club should come out and give us some type of statement to explain what went down.

They won't, but I wish they would.

I think maybe Geelong was pushing that, as offering 2 players is what I've heard they'll do, and those 2 were in the happy-to-give-up pile.

It's certainly not what we'd ask for.

In fact I think, if they're under contract, they're probably in Geelong's how-do-we-delist-a-contracted-player-? pile, and they're hoping the answer is MFC.

Well Geelong, much like the rest of this competition, can go and get f'ed

Sick of clubs thinking they can treat us like a dumping ground for their rubbish, while we give them potential KP superstars in return.

Play hardball or let Clark walk into the draft and end up at GWS.

Yeah because we know EVERYTHING that's going on and someone like Dunn isn't allowed to wish someone who is a friend all the best in the future. We may not like what is happening but we don't see the whole picture. I would be more disappointed with the atrocious comments from so called Melbourne supporters than in anything Dunny has had to say.

You ask the question at the AGM and demand an answer, as long as confidential medical info wasn't part of the answer.
