Something different needs to be done. You could argue that going to the draft again is the same, but it will be done with different recruiters withe different targets and priorities.

As long as we don't go recruiting a whole bunch of second tier free agents which ultimately dilutes the Frawley free agency compensation pick then I'm for a list change.

The culture and list smells of failure and the past, we need to rectify this and bring in as many fresh new faces that will have an immediate impact but a positive one. Mark Neeld tried to do this but ultimately failed (Terlich, M. Jones, Gillies, Pederson, Byrnes, Rodan, Clark, Dawes, Toumpas(?). A few of those we can let slide, however ultimately it was a new list that didn't change anything except having to change it again.

However, Roos made the first step in the clean out as a positive one recruiting players who actually HAD a positive impact in Cross, Tyson & Vince. If he can achieve what he did last year but on a more extreme level in more player cuts and acquisitions, I'm excited in seeing what happens!

Recognise something needs to be done and Roos is the man to do it.

But I find the prospect of giving up those 4 players as seriously depressing. Prior pick 1, pick 2, pick 4 and pick 12 and two of which are current and recent co-captains. Very sad day that it has come to this (if scoop is true). Not the players fault!

He has shown glimpses that will get attention from other clubs. He doesnt come across as the smartest footballer however which will mean his capacity to learn the game better may be limited. I think his trade value would be decent.

I pretty much agree, although I think a second year player still has the capacity to learn from someone like Roos and is worth persisting with. Kent can be selfish at times and not make the best decisions but I think he can learn those things over the coming years.

Of course it's not ideal, but what options do we have RPFC.

To break this virus and culture that is so evident at the MFC, we will have to do things like this. I think Trengove and Toumpas won't be used as bait because they haven't been given enough opportunity and they're both smart footballers with the right mindset and they're skillful.

Watts and Grimes on the other hand would be one's I'd be happy to offer up to get an early second round pick for. We've see how many good players can be picked up later in the draft, brought to a club and developed properly.

It's the only way we're going to get out of this mess. The only way.

We need to rebuild properly. Meaning drafting the right kids with the right skill sets and minds, develop them properly and build a culture and environment around a core group of mature players who understand what it takes to train and play at the level.

Supporters and posters are scared because we've tried to do those things in the past but it hasn't worked but it's bleeding obvious that we didn't have the right coaches, recruiting staff or senior players in place to make it a success.

We all have to trust that we've got the best people in place now to oversee and make these decisions. I'm absolutely at the stage where I'm happy to see another rebuild if done properly. I'll welcome Roos trading most of our players out if he believes they can't contribute to the change we need.

We all need to completely let go of the care for individuals at the club. No matter how much of a 'good honest bloke' they may be.

I don't disagree with your assessment, however I will say that some footballers (such as Kent) probably actually get the game plan of someone like Roos, or the 'just play your role' because that role is clearly defined and laid out. I think it would be fair to say Kent has been one of our better performers once getting out there on the park.

I think a lot of this needs to happen, Toumpas is the one of the four i'd most like to hang on to,

the highlighted line to me suggests that Ryan O'keefe would be a good chance to be picked up

There are leaks and there are snippets of half truths that are strategically allowed to be dispersed in order to achieve a certain objective.

I'd say there might be a little truth to it in that some of these players are up for grabs if a good deal is offered, if not they will stay on
