the intent of answers 1 , 3, and 4 start with TRADE, yes there are various outcomes but its hardly ambiguous as to intent Id have thought.

By your own reasoning youd accommodate the Keep unless a trade found ( answer 5) as being a "Trade" then ??

No because that is a motherhood statement

Not sure why anyone would vote for that it is a bit like saying keep unless he plays badly next year.

Of course he will be kept

Oh god I give up we are arguing of degrees of poor performance.

Just trade the guy for anything reasonable.

Keep vote 41%

Trade for First round pick only vote 11% ( everyone knows this is effectively saying Keep as it wont happen )

Total 52% that is a majority in my book and would get your control of the house of Reps with a health majority.

not is south australia od :)

we know your thoughts on sa od, but there are plenty of other examples

Simple fact is dc the majority want to keep him

It is a fact I find difficult to understand and before you say it.

Yes it is not unusual.

Actually theres a difference

Some might take the position of Keep, plain and simple, and thats an answer of choice. Others might say, well yeah my first inclination is to keep him,, but i could be persuaded if a decent trade surfaced. So its ambivalent yes but a distinct position ( up there on the fence )

Id still contend whether there's a majority but that aside there's a decent amount. As you suggest it also confounds me.

Bit like some hanging onto a bad marriage... been over for years but [censored] what they know and there's a certain comfort in what you know.

As those designing a referenda will attest best to place desired outcome as the "NO" answer as many just aren't down with change.

Strangely its change that this club needs in spades. Each to their own I guess

The body language tells a story. "Gee, what happened there , kinda thiing " "a whats happening? deja vu all over gain

He looks mentally whacked. Far from the only one I agree

What is he meant to be doing? Laughing? Gee BB this is a weak argument. Of course he is allowed to look stunned. I bet all the Dees were looking shattered at that moment.

There is a future for you in advertising copy BB, but splitting supporters is not be the same as splitting the club. Never heard that any of the players have it in for him.

Thank goodness you didn't find a photo of Watts smiling after 186.

Whatever the result of this poll, it is seriously flawed. The sample size is completely inadequate for a start. We have approx 3290 members of Demonland. Just 214 of us saw fit to vote, just over 6% of our membership. Hardly conclusive which ever way the vote went.

The only important thing is what the Melbourne Football Club will do in the next few weeks. Let us just wait and see.

your last line negates the rest.. it was just to see what WE thought..thats all it was, all it could do

Thats an interesting point actually Sue . That many at the club ( players ) dont see the problem., That in ITSELF is half the problem. Half the list isnt up to it and their view counts also ?? . Maybe they are actually TOO close to give an objective view ?? ( its a question ) So you can see there might be flaws all around. Again..Its a poll amongst us. Given the absolute gaping hole that is our "success" in recent times Im not gong to allow that the club necessarily knows a whole lot better. I hope it does NOW.

I'd keep him. We need class, and I don't expect he'd get much more than a second rounder if traded anyway.

But, then again, many of you thought having Junior retire was a good decision at the time.

There's a reason we have an ordinary culture, and it's not due to Jack Watts.

What about the decision to offload TJ? I'd say that's more applicable than Junior.

Got a first round pick which landed Jack Grimes. On balance, a good decision.

However, the list is very long in relation to the trades we've done that have turned out to be absolutely deadly for us.

And I reckon trading Watts to Carlton for, say, pick 25 would add to that already really unimpressive list.

You say that and you cant say who that pick might be ? Surely by your methodology only a review in hindsight would present the true value.

TJ had his problems but he ( on song ) would run circles around Grimes. Grimes isnt often on song.

Id take 25 for Watts and be very surprised in the club wouldnt ( if of a mind to trade )

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
