What the f are you doing here? Bigfooty is your new home.

Let's forgive H- H and welcome him back. Put it down to post traumatic stress from years of supporting a basket case

My reaction when I finally figured out how to post a gif.

Agree Pedo was great in starting that last scoring play - but everyone along the chain of play picked the right option - Chip, Jordie, Tommy Mac, Viney & Cross - all of them could have let the pressure get to then and blaze away but it was a perfect chain of footy.

"Of all teams, OF ALL FKN TEAMS we embarass ourselves against this 2 bob, pissant club AGAIN.

See 2011, see 2012 FKN GROUNDHOG DAY against this shite. Absolute fkn livid.

Hurley should have gone forward in the last quarter IMO, too stubborn bombre"

Just lifted this off Bomberblitz (good reading). Gracious aren't they? BTW who is bombre? Dumb ..ucks!!

Cam Pedersens play in the back pocket with 1:15 left was unbelievable

As was the chain of play that continued on after that and led to Salems goal

Special mention to Jordie McKenzie who had a couple of very important possessions on the wing in that chain

What are you still doing here?

No way.

Victory could only have been more sweet if James Hird was at the ground to watch.

Salem may have kicked the winning goal, but the kick that won the game was the pass from cool headed Cross.

I take a man on his word.

What did I miss with hh?

Great win. What a second half. Speechless

At half time the wheels had come well and truly.

After half time the mechanics Roos and Co jacked up the team and put the new wheels, slicks if u don't mind on and the rest is history.

The first half was diabolical the second half outstanding.

This...

Victory could only have been more sweet if James Hird was at the ground to watch.

The narcistic view would be " they wouldn't have lost if I was coaching."

Lot of love for the boys

I just want to mention Crossy - some poor disposals today but god damn he makes up for it with his efforts and courage

GO DEMONS

And wasn't it cross who got crunched in the back line a little earlier putting his body on the line?

yeah go dees , how good was that

Tremendous game. What about Riley's tackle? We haven't hurt anyone in years.

Regarding th last chain of handballs, it was great to see no one blazed away, mcdonald (ithink) could have pumped it long to a 2 on 3 elected to handball, vineyard could have tried to be a hero- found cross....he knew his limitations as he was on 50...slipped it to Salem. Everyone had a hand in it.

Congratulations to the boys and the coaches.

What did I miss with hh?

Promised to never post on 'land again if Melb won tonight.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
