I feel like it might be the most even flag race we've had in years. Sydney, Port Adelaide, Fremantle and Hawthorn (at full strength, anyway) are up there, and though Geelong's form is currently pretty poor, they're 8-3 and they've been written off before. Throw in Collingwood, who are also 7-3, plus the giant killer in North Melbourne (beaten Sydney in Sydney, Fremantle in Perth and Port Adelaide) and there's a legitimate 7-horse race for the flag.

Which of those clubs miss the top 4? Right now you'd say Geelong's not good enough, but if they finish 5th or 6th, who knows what they could do. Ditto North, who play their best against the best.

I don't share your enthusiasm for Norf anus but I reckon 3 or your 4 are where the flag will end up. Swans, Port or Hawks.

if he had been in a decent side where he did not have to star every week.

I wonder how many of our past players would have been different players if we had a different coach at the time old dee.

I guess we will never know but it's nice to c what has happened to Pedo, Jetta, Watts etc.

I have wyl.

It is a sort of up market Collingwood.

I have been to a lot worse

It wasn't up market at all in the 70's & 80's i can assure you.

Downright scary comes to mind.

Concrete boots were in shop windows !!

That's clever OD! I just cannot conjure up an image of an "up market Collingwood". Too many single malts.

You may be right but a couple of reds helps

Only room for one Melbourne OD.

That's part of our problem.

They will not last in Victoria....Give them 5 years.

The same could have been said for us a few months ago wyl and it would not have taken 5 years.

The Roos are still a couple of years ahead of us!

I can never quite understand why so many on here have such a dislike for the Roos.

I simply do not share the feeling.

Me neither. Yes, they are another club, but that is about it.

They will be down in Tassie OD.

Since CS was shown the door the MFC are in a lot better situation.

Much to do but it is rolling.

Nought Melbourne are treading water and getting tired...The AFL are concerned.

Yup

and thats the exact reason Damian Barrett the Kangaroo supporter constantly bashes us

Tries to put out as much negative press on the MFC as possible cos he knows North are first in line to relocate but he wants us to look like the biggest basket case

Hes fighting a losing battle the silly [censored]

Gee the kangaroos are average, seriously lack leadership and some seriously overrated players.

Cos they are an average - below average team and we havent beaten them since 2006

it pisses me off

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
