Wouldn't mind bringing in one of these blokes as well as Dion Prestia, all look ready to be stars.

Prestia contracted until end 2016

Dom Tyson was contracted till 2015, what's your point?

I said in the players to target thread that my number player to target would be tom lynch

Not sure of his contract status but we should be asking the question to his manager

Prestia thought about coming back to the dees, but thought there was 'no point' as he wanted to be there when GCS were reaping the rewards of the tough first few years, and rightly so. What could of been though...

My reading of the situation is that he thought there was no point coming back to the MFC last year. Who would have? We were a basket case. I reckon it'd be a different story next year or the year after, if Roos keeps directing this ship.

And I don't rate Patton much, but he seems like a better prospect than any of the Suns KPFs.

Lynch will be a star imo, the other two are solid players and matera compliments them well

Almost no chance anyone leaves the suns by choice, pretty exciting times up there

Are you talking about bringing Prestia in for 2017 after his contract ends in 2016? He's loving the Suns and going no where.

He never said he's loving it, just liking the opportunity

Tyson, Cross and Vince? The former two definitely had the option not to and I'd argue Vince did too.

Prestia re-signed half way through last season. The others were signed once Roos was on board.

Prestia is with a side that will be playing finals THIS year and that are much much closer to playing a GF than we will be for a few years yet.

Lynch is the player we wanted in 2010. Instead had to settle for.......................Lucas Cook.

Semi-debatable

Gold coast are 2 years ahead of us at least and have more talent.

I said semi, wait for this season to pan out.

Premiership window will be open in 2 years IMO, so don't know why he'd leave anytime soon. Maybe after his contract ends?

Currently 3rd on the ladder. It would take an almighty collapse to see them tumble out of the 8. Can't see that happening this year.

Agreed Maple. Having said that, they do have a very tough 5-6 matches coming up next. That will be the true test of their development.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
