Why is it everytime someone loses to Melbourne their season is over??

Carlton were finished when Melbourne beat them, came out and beat WCE, Adelaide were horrid after we beat them, came out and beat Collingwood, and now Richmond.

Does the footy media ever think, hey maybe Melbourne aren't as bad as we think.

Sick of it.

I really hope we beat someone like Collingwood or Geelong, see if their season is "over".

Rant finished.

The media need a disaster each week to keep things ticking over. We were the disasters the last few seasons. I'm happy for us to end a few more seasons and be on this side of the fence. Next year we can worry about being taken as a "serious" team.

And it gives the players more to play for. It would be delicious to beat a team fair and square and watch the meltdown that ensues directly from your actions.

It'll also drive them to keep up the momentum and effort, to get proper recognition for their efforts. I'm inclined to believe Richmond weren't really that bad against us, rather it was the pressure from our tackles which took a heavy toll on their players and led to turnovers, rushed behinds and overall disbelief.

first things first, put the kettle on and make a cuppa.feel better thedeeman?

This type of media will not give credence until you prove yourself.

even with GCS they are still saying they might drop out of 8 and havent gone the full distance of a season yet..

for us,well just dont care about it and build our own reputation piece by piece until we are RESPECTED.

hows that cuppa, do you feel better

because its true

We ended Carltons season

We ended Adelaides season

We ended Richmonds season

Spot on Jazza and I would add wyl's comment as follows "We were that bad. Respect takes time. It is getting there."

It could be the fact we have finished in the bottom 4 or 5 for seven consecutive years

I'd rather the disaster stories than the ones where we've turned the corner and are much better etc... For now.

We were that bad.

I want us to fight long and hard to get back all respect.

Too many times we've seen our teams read the hype/praise and then it's downhill from there.

Granted, Roos will most likely instil a different mindset. But let's keep knocking teams off from way under ground for a while uh.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
