Three quarter time: Casey Scorpions 7.4.46 lead Werribee 5.8.38.

The Scorpions have been goalless since just after the halfway mark of the second term and would need to lift if they want to win this.

Time for a cameo from one of the senior listed boys.

Rohan Welsh is not the right man for the Casey Job. Apparently pot shots the MFC and our game plan during QTR breaks.

I remember reading a couple of weeks ago Welsh was critizing Roos game plan in one of the qtr huddles into the bemusement of some of the Melbourne players.

Pretty sure he was doing the same last year aswell in some of the Casey games I read last year.

We need our own demons reserves team familiarity with the game plan week in week out Is a huge developmental bonus we are missing out on right now

It's also massive for coaching development

If the reserves coach doesnt support the game plan he should be sacked immediatley

Absolutely. His job (other than trying to get the team to win) is to prepare and develop players for the mfc

Agree 100% - but do we have the resources and the money to do it? Can we get out of the long term deal we signed with the city of Casey?

Interesting to hear you say this as last year I over heard Welsh on the way to a Qtr time huddle saying something along the lines of 'typical pathetic MFC game plan'. As Neeld was the coach at the time I probably agreed with his comments but if he's still got the same attitude he should pack his bags.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
