Which rumor?

According to a seeming Demonland rumour, apparently an opposition recruiter said 'don't be surprised to see Coniglio in a Melbourne jumper next season'. Or some such thing.

I will be surprised if that happens. Also very happy..

The kid is an absolute gun

All things and or likelihoods aside , Coniglio is pretty well just the scenario Roos seeks out. An underloved player at another club who could fill a role ( better than currently so improving the mix ) at our club.

Something like this will sought after whether he or another(s)

to get coniglio would take a near exact replica of the tyson deal, however...

not sure coniglio is worth our top5 pick on his own and i dont think gws will have as many first rnd picks to sweeten the deal

rather than go after a specialised mid i would prefer to draft next years kolajazzkneey (good kick rebounding hbf) as this is more and more the area attacking chains begin

If my read on history is anything near ok with PR he prefers a near to or ready to go who is avail as unloved underutilised or frustrated at another club in preference to a raw draftee.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we gave up our 1st pick for a player and another lower 1st round pick. Id probably prefer that truth be known.

And GWS have an end-of-1st-round compo pick.

Just saying.

Craig bird of the swans is out of contract at the end of the year, wants to stay at the swans but the salary cap squeeze makes things difficult for them, i wonder if a second round pick might lure him down?

Shame, he would be one to throw everything at. Love him.

Maybe Zaharakis will look to leave as the only player to reject injections once it's all done and dusted....

As much as I would love to see him in the red & blue - probably the only Methadon player I would want in the red & blue, he has unfortunately resigned with them until the end of 2017 so wipe him off the list.

As I've stated it multiple times and recently don't mark Tom Mitchell off your lists. I think he might be a major target.

He is now in his third AFL season and since joining there have been no media releases of him signing on. So unless if he has re-signed without the public knowing, he will likely be out of contract at the years end (could potentially be next year but an initial 4 year contract is unlikely).

As of late he has struggled to crack their strong side even though he has had some phenomenal games in the seconds (could this be due to holding off contract talks... who knows that's just speculation). The Swans practically have no room in their salary cap to play with with the likes of Franklin, Tippett, Kennedy, Jack, McVeigh, and Hannebery (Goodes on the veterans list). Something has to give sooner or later.

As for originally being a F/S draftee, his father Barry also changed clubs multiple times during his career so there is nothing stopping Tom from doing the same.

As for this common chestnut that he also also friends with Jack Viney, and the Viney family it doesn't count for much but still counts for a small something.

By no means am I saying he's on the way, but as for the kind of player he is, something will have to give in Sydney's salary cap for when he falls out of contract (that's if they want to keep him).

Edited by ignition.

I was told by a mate who works in Richmond's gym haha, they are looking at picking him up as a rookie

Aaron Young has re-signed with Port.

Moore and O'Shea remain OOC.

Wouldn't mind trying to lure Moore back to Victoria. A good size with some pace and skill, but not afraid of the rough stuff.

Get Tom lynch!!!

This guy should be spoken of when talking the next big forwards coming through the ranks but he never gets a mention as it's all about the big 3 at the giants

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
