Who will Paul Roos successor be?

thought we needed a thread for this given it's one of the more significant things that will happen to our club this year.

i think it will be Jade Rawlings,

i'd like to see Todd Viney

Id like to see Daniel Giansiracusa retire from the doggies and come to the Dees as Roos apprentice. He is already considered a coach in waiting and with the right bloke teaching him the ropes could be something special.

If not Gia, then Brett Kirk would have to be a front runner given his history with Roos

it should be no more than a PR exercise !

I've learnt my lesson.no more juniors or apprentices.jade can try out elsewhere.inexperienced premiership coaches need never apply.

Jade Rawlings my pick

I reckon Roosy will extend himself, the successor will be later.

& Frawls will stay

& we'll trade our 1st pick for another young, who's been in the system for 4 Yrs?

And I get the feeling another name player will come to the Dees at end of season.

Don't forget LBall as an assistant?

I was heckling him during last years game."shut up Gia-getakick Gia and when we won "give it up Gia".

No more wannabes .ever.

Another i am not sure is being considered by most is Daniel Cross, knows his footy inside and out, already essentially a playing assistant.

Mark Thompson's name was thrown up by a caller on SEN the other day.

Will probably be hard to remain at Injectiondon after Tird replaces him at the end of year. Come to Demons, 2 years with Roos and continues the good work

This idea is the worst I've come across.

...

I started listing reasons why, but there's so many and they're all so obvious.

Then list them.

He fits the bill for me though I would prefer Clarkson or Lyon.

agree 100% if we go from Roos to a bad coach all the good work goes out the window, Clarkson is the one i'd chase

I was thinking from the moment they kept him on that Jade was the man they were looking at. I suspect that he'll be under consideration and basically is being assessed during the year as to whether he is the man for the job or not. The fact that they kept him on when they sacked the rest of the coaches is a pretty good endorsement.

I know he was a good player, but I still think of Milburn as the guy who ironed out SOS with a very cheap hip and shoulder at Princes Park about 15 yrs ago. Nearly killed him.

On here at the 1min mark.

Yeah he was a [censored]. I hated him as a player but he was a winner. We need someone who has had a successful career either coaching or playing (and was hard). It seems from the outside like our playing can be a bit choosy about what sort of person they will respond to.

You just need to hear the way the defenders talk about Jade to know that the bloke can coach.

Who knows really? Could be anyone.... Ling would be a seemingly good choice... Tom Harley was a strong figure in turning Geelong into a power house... Brad Miller wasn't the strongest player, but as a coach, he could be made of the right stuff... Cameron Bruce might be a handy coach as well...

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
