Of course it is. The fact that a 6 game increase represents 400% highlights how awful we are.

A 1 game increase for us is a 50% increase on our year. For the Gold Coast to increase by 50% they'd need to win another 4 games. It reflects the fact that GC is better than we are.

I expect a big improvement in the Tigers next year, about 400%, so that will take them to 60 wins

If you can't understand how percentages work, don't be surprised if/when people start disregarding your posts.

15 wins x 400% = 60 wins

that's how percentages work

it's your application of them that is dense

Actually a 400% improvement (increase) on 15 wins is 75 wins. 60 wins would be a 300% improvement on 15 wins...

actually rfpc is the one who said 400%, referring to 8 wins improvement to last year's 2 wins.

interesting that rfpc 'likes' your post, demonstrates the grip he has on his own statement

You make a fine point.

The improvement would be 300%.

I apologise.

you know what.. I think myself and some others are getting carried away.. I've just watched a replay and my lord, I had forgotten just how bad we are.. i think you are correct in that an extra 6 wins is fanciful indeed. Depressing stuff.

We will be better, C&B.

We just have different ideas of how much better.

November is not the time for depression.

Anyone notice our 3 Saturday night games in Melbourne (v st Kilda, Sydney and bulldogs) are stand alone games on channel 7 which means excellent national exposure. Sure we've got no Friday night games but we haven't totally gone without in national exposure.

The round 6 sat night game v Sydney has the potential to drag in 35-40 k with the Roos - Sydney factor and if we've already won a couple.

Good point. I'm very surprised with the 3 early season saturday night games on 7, but it's a great opportunity for the club. Though the Essendon game in Round 2 this year was too...That reminds me of that Brisbane game in Round 5 2010. It was a foxtel saturday night game, but we were coming off 2 wins, Brisbane were undefeated, the crowd was 36-37k and we smashed them by 50 points. Atmosphere was amazing

i like the Ross Lyon attitude of "anywhere, anytime'.

May take years before we get bums on seats again, but thats up to how well we play.

And they are the only Saturday night games for the round which means that all attention will be on Melbourne.

THought I'd mention the positives of the fixture among all the doom and gloom.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
