We play Sydney next week and whilst we may struggle a bit it is not that long ago that we beat them in Melbourne one Sunday afternoon. Let’s hope Goodes doesn’t play.

I think our fitness could be a problem based on the last quarter.

Dan Nicholson detractors please eat your hats!

He played ok, but Griffen still had 31 touches and 3 goals... Wouldn't talk up his performance too much.

Glad to see Watts have a really good game and stand up when we needed it!

We ran out of legs which is understandable given how young we are and how experienced the Dog's midfield is.

Not a good way to finish but my god we dominated for three quarters. Sweet baby Jesus that is a huge effort.

We won. Watts was enormous. Enjoy it.

GO DEES!!!!

Mark Neeld sucked the life out if this list.

Neil Craig just might get it back.

We won tonight thankfully. The belief will come.

Mark Neeld what the F did you do for 18 months???????

The umpires almost cost us the game by giving the Dogs free kick for Out on the full when it came off a Dog players leg, they goit a goal and cut the margin to 2 points.

Absolutely disgraceful effort by the maggots.

Great win, we are in much better shape than the Dogs who have absolutely no KPP's on their list that are worth a damn.

Great to see Gawny towel up that Minson loser.

I was at a work function at the pub, watching the tv with no commentry.

It seemed that was Jack Watts best game ? any thoughts

Tom mcdonald has got to be the worst player. He is so indecisive and he usually picks the worst decision out of all of the options. Hyped because he can run but seriously, we can't go forward with him in the team

Oh Freak, how I've missed your terribly wrong player assessments.

Well.. I'm going to say it. The massive blunder by the boundary umpire giving the out on the full free kick to the Dogs cost us the momentum in the last quarter. For all the things that went our way tonight it makes me very angry.

Fitzpatrick is fun to watch and could be a player

i wish Watts was better overhead, but played well

Gawn will be very good but needs to work on strength and endurance

To me, that Jack Watts mark in the backline in the dying seconds kind of validates the time he spent down there over the past few years. To be able to do that as a forward (probably without having been instructed to do so) will be very handy in the coming years.

This might sound crazy but that last quarter might be good for them. The game is never won.

I agree, they experienced getting run over without actually losing. While we would all agree that we would prefer to have won by 10 goals, they will definitely remember this next time. Really liked Jack T's interview with Hall as well, as a side note.

Bloody oath. Not only was the free given to the incorrect team, it hit the bulldog's knee anyway; so the umpire got it wrong twice in the same free kick. Good going ump!

My take tonight is the Neeld Melbourne would have been beaten comfortably, Under Craig, we dominated and the bulldogs pulled out all stops to beat us and we hung on.

its a big difference.

We looked a totally different team to the one ive seen under Neeld.

We will improve even more under Roos.

Geelong/Sydney production line = A1 coaches who get the best out of their players.

Nothing wrong with Craig, players are driving without the handbrake on (Neeld)

Melbourne win a game of footy and this is your first post in eight months. Tom McDonald is coming off a career best game against Riewoldt. Missed you Freak. Pure gold..

When I initially saw it it looked like it came of the dees player but that was because of the angle it was shown on.

After the replay it clearly showed it was a dogs player.

We are dam lucky we got home by 3 points otherwise I would have had a massive hissy fit.

Just lost the priority pick.

We dominated that game, but for the final quarter.

Would've necked myself, and possibly a few others, if we lost that one.

I feel numb. But relieved. And maybe even a bit happy.

Ron I hope the PP is a non issue and we keep improving to win a few more games for the season. If we sort the development out we'll still get pick 2 & somewhere around Picks 20, 38, 54 & with signs of improvement I'd look at snaring a FA & someone like Taylor Adams in the PSD.

Hope you enjoy the win, Casey, West Perth & Melbourne all in one day!

Gawn was shot in the last and Minson and the dogs mids sensed it. They just ran forward of the ball and it all started from there. Its hard for a team to know how to protect a lead when they never lead.

Build on the first three quarters, learn from the last.

Great work by Gawn. But he was out of energy in the last quarter and Minsons ruck work was a major part of their comeback. Griffen and Cooney were incedible in that last 15 min.

Good to see that Fitzy might actually be alright when our delivery is better. He looked a lot less nervous tonight.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
