Thought this bloke was really important for us today. kicked 3 goals and should have atleast had four but was robbed. He kept us in the game and he showed real leadership.

I also think he hasn't been that bad at all this year. it was always going to take time for the new recruits to fit in to our structures so I hope its all forward from here for him.

He was good, he has been good and, again, he is not the reason we won nor the reason we are 1 and 3 with a percentage of 58.

Agree,He was good....had goals,spoils,chases...was in it all day.

Gawney was very good too I thought...if he didnt mark it he bought it to ground for the crumbers like Byrnes.

Was thrilled to see Byrnesy play well today.

I think he'll be a valuable player for us for the 2 seasons he's contracted and will hopefully help re-shape the player culture that we have here.

He's no world beater but he's a good solid small crumbing forward (something we haven't had since Farmer) and some of our young players can learn a lot from him.

Thought he was immense today - really kept us in it throughout the poorer moments of the match.

He's a smart player, and an outstanding kick of the football. Hopefully this game will give him the confidence to display his talents more often.

that pass that he put on Mitch's chest from about 40m away was something that very few on our list could have done

Runs, tackles and puts his head over it. And has a touch of class and skill sometimes. I understand his recruitment and its in no way a bad thing for the club. Davey is on his last legs and guys like bail, blease and tappy need pressure to elevate their game

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
