Jason Taylor in a fight on AIS Europe tour?

Featured Replies

From the club website, staff list - Football Department

Jason Taylor - National Recruting Manager

From me;

If he can't keep a professional attitude while on a critically important part of the recruiting cycle, sack him. Not fit for the job, end of story.

You have my vote

I can't believe the club would hire someone so manifestly unsuited to the j.... oh.

I think he is another Neeld selection!

Why would you not want to sponsor the Dees, you get publicity every week.

Value for money imo!!!!!!

Emma Quayle (who was on the tour) tweeted she can't see how there is anything Jason Taylor has to worry about.

Honestly, [censored] most of the media. They are flogs who have nothing better to do than pot the club for even the most minuscule things as it suits their agenda of wanting blood. Worse still is most of the flogs on here take it as gospel as in many cases it suits their agenda of getting rid of everyone they don't like at the club.

In fairness, Clint, surely it's obvious why many would believe every bad rumour they hear at the moment. It's hard to imagine how the last three years could possibly have been more tumultuous.

Also interesting Nasher that a very low number of the reported problems have turned out to be incorrect.

Fair enough Nasher. It's just the blind acceptance of anything negative about the club without waiting for verification.

That being said, I'm no apologist for people employed by or involved with the club, and do think significant changes need to be made, starting at board level. Hopefully Peter Jackson can make them happen.

Two Emma quayle tweets

@emmasq: Whatever minor altercation there was on the AIS trip, it had nothing to do with any of the AIS boys or their families/the touring party.

@emmasq: Can't see how there's anything Jason Taylor has to worry about with this one

And a answer to some one to he above tweet

@emmasq: @maesy5 well there is ZERO in this one so that's one less problem at least!

I'm calling BULLTISH on this one.....the big journos are no doubt under such a pump from their bosses to keep coming up with a BETTER "controversial" spin story in order to out do their counterparts... that they'll put any little bit of hearsay out there. And as far as i know they're saying this was heard through the grapevine.... by a someone who heard it from someone who heard it from......

Hardly rivitting solid sourced journalism.

Not even worth a thread IMO. Time to close this one Mods

The fight had four quarters and although he was holding his own in the first half he went down in round 3 and never got up....

It was the applause at the end of the second that threw him.

What the media might have got this wrong, impossible.

And this reveals further cultural issues at the MFC?!

Isn't he the gun recruiter from Collingwood that they really wanted to retain and we managed to secure?

Talk about boxing at shadows.

why dont you just hang the bloke from the nearest tree , after that if you have time , you might like to find out what happened eh

Media trying to get a story out of nothing

Good expsure for the sponsors

Media trying to get a story out of nothing

Good expsure for the sponsors

We get more exposure than Brynne Edelstein's chest.

Any more and we'll catch freakin' pneumonia.

They say any publicity is good.

Next sponsor believed to be from the movie "SUPERBAD!"

fat loser Mark Robinson again trying to make a story from notjing

how that loser bogan ever got a job in football media is beyond me

then again the standard is very low to begin with

Because he is a loser bogan?

You mean we have some left Robbie.

There is no justification for fighting with a kid, a junior player for god sake.

I am so tired of the half wits we get to this club.

I would rather follow this club in the amos than put with these idiots.

Can they all please [censored] off

Boy, life must be really tough for you OD. Every post is the same. You need to lighten up.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
