Peter Jackson the interim CEO.

He left in 2009 and started running his own consultancy company. It's in he link to the Melbourne FC website

Do I recall that he left, perhaps under a bit of dissatisfaction by some, following the termination of Sheedy, which, if it in fact was at his instigation was a particularly gutsy move.

MJT doesn't need evidence.

He just listens to the voices in his tiny brain.

Your a B Grade comedian, i would love to catch up with you at the G some time and have a beer.

I am also happy with this appointment. At the very least he will be in a position to cast an unbiased, critical eye over every area of the club.

Having said that, when he left Essendon in 2009 they weren't in great shape.

He also re-signed Knights on a 3 year deal, approximately 9 months of which he served.

That 3 yr deal he gave Knights was probably his only mistake at his time at the Bombers.

so not flawless, like so many who post here are (or believe they are)

Loved this line from Big Footy:

He was a smokey for the job, but he suits us, though he'll need to be a wizard to fix our club.

maybe he can get some of our Hobbits to overcome their fear of Mount Doom, or the Lonely Mountain or whatever that place is with the fires.

Good move as he is also seeing a review of all club operations and the fact that the board has not meet any of its goals set fro the last 4 years!

Renewal time coming and from fresh years from a successful football club.

Was knights such a bad coach?

this guys probably wondering what the hell he has walked into

Maybe never.

So how was your first day, honey?

I haven't started yet!

And shut up!

Lets hope he sticks around, there may be cleaning up to do. At this stage, no-one is safe from sackings for poor performance or use of, ironically, perfomance enhancing drugs.

Sometimes I feel like the MFC is playing Jenga and it is really sh!t at it and just ruins the game for the rest of us. Stop taking a load bearing block you tossers!

Sack Jackson now!!!!

By the way, is he a precurser to getting Sheeds?

And when do hire Schwab again? We've done it 4 times so far (that I know of).

At least he aint part of the boys club.

At least he aint part of the boys club.

Who's left at the club, who is part of the boys club Only Viney and Connely

As most on here thought- he was AFL appointed, or at least pushed forward by the AFL.

Age article here

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
