I'll burn the MCG down

It's made of concrete these days condemned.

I was gutted yesterday and absolutley devastated pretty much numb for the remainder of the day.

I woke this morning and whilst the sun has come up and after a nights sleep, reality has sunk in - I now know if this does not turn around fast we are in serious trouble.

In all honesty I can not think of life without the Dees, whilst watching footy will be enjoyable as I will have no mood swings affected by results, No MFC will be a big void in my life

I would be fascinated to hear what President Mclardy said last night at Crown.

If he got stuck into financial supporters after yesterdays mess i would be disappionted

We deserve better than that...must DEMAND it.

What are you talking about? The comments made about "fickle supporters" were made at the season launch a week or two ago, I assume this is what you're referring to?

it was in reference to a comment on here that Mclardy spoke last night.

If he did i would like to know what was said.

I am well aware of the commencement speech.

Fair enough - if anyone at the club had a crack at the supporters yesterday after the utter shite served up by the club then they should walk immediately. We supporters have sat through enough crap for multiple lifetimes in the last decade (or five) it's about time the club had a look at itself instead of the loyal supporters who have had enough.

Jeebers. 7 years and we still sit on the bottom.

It's like watching a different sport. In fact you could say the same for pretty much every other game this round.

You are partially right. Apply enough heat and concrete will crumble.

apply the slightest bit of heat to our back line and it also crumbles

Don't know about that, if we teamed up with Kangaroos, we would have a good coach 'Scott', and a ripper team. We would win a premiership rather quickly and have memberships of around 50,000. We would instantly become one of the largest clubs in the land and guarantee our existence at the MCG with a home at Arden St.

Kangaroos love the MCG and are not that attached to their 'North Melbourne' name. Melbourne were originally known as the Fuscias and the 'Demons' brand is not really corporate friendly, nor child friendly. We need a home, more cash and we desperately need some spirit.

If I was not so attached to our colors and our theme song, I would say it is a perfect fit.

Kangas are my 2 nd team favourite , would be happy with that scenario

I agree with what you have said - I feel the same way. I feel so sad seeing the team that I have loved all my life reduced to this. To rub salt in the wound my Collingwood supporting husband waltzed home last night at 3/4 time to watch the final quarter on Foxtel. He is so used to winning that he didn't feel the need to hang around to the final siren. I tried to explain to him how lucky he is and how I would kill to be supporting a team that wins all the time.

If anyone from the club is reading this, there are supporters who are feeling so much pain, long for success and continue to buy a membership and attend the games week after week. Please show us some signs that this season isn't over....

It would solve our midfield problems ...

Seriously though, I would not watch another game of AFL if the MFC went under.

I used to support the North Sydney Bears in the NRL - they were booted out of the competition - I genuinely have not watched another game of rugby league ever since, including State of Origin matches. Absolutely loathe the sport now.

This stuff is tribal. If your tribe gets killed, you leave the jurisdiction forever. Fortunately, I think the AFL understands this.

I have a Pie in the house as well, and talk about the innocence of children. Both my boys have been Dees members from the day they were born, in 2010 my oldest boy was 4 and changed to the Pies because his best friend was a Magpies supporter. I had taken my boy to watch the Dees in Melbourne every year and every game they play in WA. In 2011 I took him to see the Pies play Freo in Perth which was his first game to attend as a Pies supporter watching them live.

At that stage they were on the big roll of their season before losing to the Cats and they were awesome that night. As we walked away from Subi my boy said to me "Dad how come Melbourne never win when we watch them" I was stumped and had no answer.

Sad times, my 7yr old has been a member all his life and is a footy fanatic, yesterday he wanted to go home at 3/4 time as he said it was boring because we weren't kicking any goals.

Members have had enough and will start jumping ship. We are going backwards.

Where is the glimmer of hope / improvement that we are all craving so badly???

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
