I'm pretty sure I read the other day that after not fronting in court, if he didn't front at the next scheduled court date, then a warrant would be issued for his arrest... so I am not so sure that is the reason.

I am sure I heard the other day that the magistrate issued the warrant even though the legal team explained the reason for his non attendance....I could be wrong though......

No, in the article linked to on the previous page, it states: "The Elizabeth court will issue a warrant for Jurrah's arrest if he fails to show at the next hearing in April."

I stand corrected DC....

ABC news reporting the fresh assaults over night angle, in Alice town centre. Reported he is in protective custody..... Leading to heat have been drunk. Not sure how they correlate the two.

If reports are correct then Massive sad face on this saga. I just hope out of this the AFL, clubs, so called support networks pull there fingers out an really look hard at what they are doing with players from remote areas and bringing them into the system. I fully admit I have had virtually no exposure to the processes and support frameworks but from the outside looking in just seems like the persons ability to assimilate is rarely taken into account when dealing with people from such remoteness.

Unbelievable if true. What the hell is going on in his head?

His Mentor has a lot to answer for imo....

Everywhere Liam walks within his home now he is going to be under the hammer.

Only way he will survive is to leave the country.....

Learn a lesson Rudeboy.....

Give it a rest WYL. Your constant bagging of Rudeboy is bordering on obsessive.

You really blame all this on Bruce and that bloody book, don't you?

I suggest you dig up some of the older threads on Jurrah's initial arrest and read some of the posts from our NT forum members which shed light on his family's long-standing feud.

Sad, really a tragic turn of events, for the whole Jurrah clan.

... he has to leave that all behind & get out of there or he'll end up spending his life in Jail, or worse.

get out of they're Liam. the situation isn't getting better with you in there.

Oh don't worry i have been following this since the family member was killed...when Rupert Betheras was involved.

So that is not the issue.

The issue is when Liam started losing focus on his career.

He has to leave the country otherwise he will end up in a coffin sadly.

No i do not blame it ALL on Rudeboy, but he does have a lot to do with it...some very poor decisions have been made.....

Oh goodness, I just have to hear the ending to this brilliant life-saving plan. Do tell me WYL, where is a man who grew up in outback Australia, who is an initiated tribal man, with a poor grasp on the English language and even poorer grasp on how to integrate with "Western" society, going to go and be safe? Who will take him there?

I know, maybe he has to try to start a new life away from family members.

He may have to come back to Melbourne, & rely on his contacts around this town.

He could do worse than live in country Victoria.

Maybe it would have been better if he was locked up for a while. Does not look like he will get his head together out on the streets. Will be a star in the prison football team.

Hasn't got much chance then has he....that's my point.

He is a dead man if he stays up there...They do not forget.

Maybe it is a mistake and it was the guy who delivered the machette to the head again?

Who killed Ccok Robin?

I, said the Sparrow,

with my bow and arrow,

I killed Ccok Robin.

Who saw him die?

I, said the Fly,

with my little eye,

I saw him die.

Who caught his blood?

I, said the Fish,

with my little dish,

I caught his blood.

Who'll make the shroud?

I, said the Beetle,

with my thread and needle,

I'll make the shroud.

Who'll dig his grave?

I, said the Owl,

with my pick and shovel,

I'll dig his grave.

Who'll be the parson?

I, said the Rook,

with my little book,

I'll be the parson.

Who'll be the clerk?

I, said the Lark,

if it's not in the dark,

I'll be the clerk.

Who'll carry the link?

I, said the Linnet,

I'll fetch it in a minute,

I'll carry the link.

Who'll be chief mourner?

I, said the Dove,

I mourn for my love, I

'll be chief mourner.

Who'll carry the coffin?

I, said the Kite,

if it's not through the night,

I'll carry the coffin.

Who'll bear the pall?

We, said the Wren,

both the ccok and the hen,

We'll bear the pall.

Who'll sing a psalm?

I, said the Thrush,

as she sat on a bush,

I'll sing a psalm.

Who'll toll the bell?

I said the Bull,

because I can pull,

I'll toll the bell.

All the birds of the air fell a-sighing and a-sobbing,

when they heard the bell toll for poor Ccok Robin.

Looks like Demonlands favorite son has done it again, no surprises here.

Will be interesting to see how the lads put a positive spin on this one.

It's always refreshing to hear from people with a heart.

None of us really knows what's going on in his head, but I wouldn't be surprised if the state of his (now unlikely) AFL career is creating deep depression. Any of you blokes who in your youth dreamt of becoming a footy star can possibly imagine how it would feel without invoking anything related to his very unusual background.

I'm not sure what's more saddening: Liam's situation or your post.

I've said all along, get this bloke off our streets, he is a danger to others.

If he isn't drink driving - he is assaulting people, he puts others lives in danger.

Does drink driving endanger other peoples lives? Yes, it does.

Does assaulting others endanger other peoples lives? Yes, it does.

I am sorry if I want Jurrah locked away before he kills someone.

Keep enabling though Bailey... I mean bing.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
