  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Not sure of your meaning.

Anyway let's revisit this -

Here is an earlier example of the depth of information CW has at her finger tips.

This could only come from within the club.

One sentence I find very telling -

"On Friday, Schwab was told his position was no longer secure and that Stynes and some board members were looking at ending his tenure at the end of the season. The contract deadline was 48 hours away. Key Melbourne coterie supporters believed by Friday night that Schwab was finished. So did some Melbourne footballers."

This tells me all I need to know.

and i would lay down a few $100 to say that those people all now work somewhere else.

No they are not. But the players were, accepting a good wage in the the process.

This is the exact reason 186 needs to be openly discussed. All remnants of it must be cleared out.

I do not believe this has been done yet.

well presumably the "Key Melbourne coterie supporters" are still there and still capable of getting up to their mischief and white-anting and leaking to the press?

yes they are. If you are financial that is a right.

But anybody pulling a wage who is involved in white anting can be terminated or retired.

this section of Wilsons article is very interesting on many levels.

Clearly she had & probably still has multiple sources inside the club who are willing to openly speak.

But her information was ultimately wrong.

I too was amazed at the time that CS survived 186, but he did and is still there.

So how much REAL information do these leaks have?

And have they dried up quickly enabling Wilson to lay low?

Well call me 'silly', Billy, ouch, but what is it you & yours hide?

are you looking to challenge, or is it a part of the ruse of the clubs defense?

Because your 'not elaborating' just confuses the whole picture.

* I'll ask again a simple question, have you had any discussion with any of the MFC's defense team, about the AFL's 800 page document, & their strategies to fight it?

I haven't read all of the 90 pages of this thread, but surely it's a long bow to suggest someones comments here are part of a ruse of the clubs defense?

All this talk about activity in Demonland somehow being part of some board level power struggle or trying to out people from the club seems to me as ludicrous.

Can't wait for the footy to start....

Rereading CW's article it amazes me that she had so much information down to timing of conversations. I agree it looks as if the leakee/s could be from within the coterie. . I wonder if Guy Jalland could be a target as he was quoted as being "an influential Schwab" supporter. Is McLardy a target because he "organised" Jimmy's becoming President.

The more I think about 186 and the tanking issue there is a link. Once the link is identified the person/group who has conducted this vile attack on the Club will also be identified.

The last paragraph of today's Age article "they (MFC Legal Team) are determining whether to submit their full case or to hold back key points" is disturbing. Why would you leak such information to the opposition if only to dis-stabilize and this case the MFC' s Legal team.

It may not be a leak. Could it be that journos are just looking for daily copy and so thinking 'what would MFC reasonably do' and constructing a story? After all, unless you are 100% certain you'll shoot down the accusations if you played all your cards initially, you may want to keep some things up your sleeve. Or alternatively, leak the impression you have something that will be dropped on the AFL if they dare impose an unacceptable penalty.

So while it is keeping some of us entertained speculating (and some of us p!ssed off), we really shouldn't read too much into anything published at this stage.

I'm on the side that if you write "their lawyers remain concerned....." I would say that it has been leaked either by our Legal team or someone who is privy to the machinations of the Club or the Legal Team. Wouldn't you leave yourself open to having to retract.?

I am both entertained and [censored].

I had Ox penis in the Sichuan Province . They served it finely sliced in a firey hot sauce as an entree but it is a versatile dish because if you talk to it dirty it becomes a main meal.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
