I give you Dean Bailey.

First attempt at senior coaching and was not considered the best for the job and sacked.

Then the team he was sacked from gets investigated for tanking.

Gets an asst. coaching job with another team that becomes embroiled into salary cap investigations soon after.

His future looks dark because; what team would employ a coach who has a history of investigations into the last two teams he has been associated with.

Poor Dean must thik he has walked over a chinaman.

The investigation into the Crows has nothing to do with him and he won't be tainted by it.

If he'd kept his mouth shut at his parting press conference in 2011 the current investigation into the clubs dealings in 2009 may have been avoided.

totally agree, but Balme was the unluckiest. '95 Preseason would have been heartbreaking.

I would have thought that the footy people who have gone after us recently, out of anger. After our vindictive ways of treating these people, after we gave them the big push, then our supporters bagged them mercilessly.

Could this be part of they're animosity at us? And the trouble its all caused?

Hard to disagree that Swooper was the best since NS.

The unluckiest Coach must be Mick Malthouse-sacked by a megalomaniac president when at the peak of his powers.

It's not about the coach. It's all about the supporters. We hang tight through thick and thin for year after year. Coaches come and go and change allegiance every few years with a change of club. Luck or good fortune is irrelevent.

Bailey brought a philosophy. Premiership teams are built from young picks under 20, who quickly gain experience and 100 plus games bu the time they reach mid twenty. Within three years the board jettisoned his philosophy.

They changed to one who didn't want too many young kids and certainly not lighter bodies. Committed to stronger mid 20 year olds even if still essentially playing VFL in other teams. Neeld is walking a tight rope because if his approach doesn't succeed he will be gone sooner than we know it.

If their approach can't stand the rigours of lifes fluctuations it obviously wasn't good enough.

And we the supporters suffer from it
