THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

I think we should put this whole thing behind us, it has been put to bed. She will have to find another team to pick on she has sucked us dry!

More innuendo from the First Lady of muckraking.

Dons did not check Dank

"Dank was sacked by Essendon late last year and mystery surrounds his employment over the summer months. Melbourne has repeatedly denied he briefly consulted to the Demons, although several players have reported seeing him at the club's AAMI Park training headquarters."

Actually, IIRC Melbourne made it clear that Dank applied for a job and was rejected. That's consistent with someone being seen somewhere when applying for work and nothing more. If there was a skerrick of truth in Wilson's inferences, she would be telling us that players reported that he treated them, which is not the case.

There's far more truth in the rumours surrounding one of Richmond's favourite players. Wilson should concern herself with those.

It's truly amazing how much she hates the MFC.... She seems to try and draw the demons in on every conspiracy..... Wow.... If she has her way, we'll get done for essenbong's crimes and the Richmond players....

Watch this space.... If it catches on.... There will be a bigger blow up over dank applying for a job with us, than actually working for essenbong.....

I am waiting for Bombers to get a lesser punishment for injecting a list of players and secret contracts, than we got for a private comment.

I'm actually more concerned that several players have reported seeing him. Who are they talking to and why? who is still white anting the club?

This rubbish has to stop and this is also where the club needs to put it's foot down and come out on the attack when the press start printing this stuff. As supporters and members it's time the club stood up for us and left us in no doubt at all that Wilson is talking rubbish. If there is any truth in what she infers surely the players would have reported some interaction with Dank, but if it is more than that then heads need to roll and now.

I would imagine that she has just made it up. Examine it for a second. There has been no interview with a Demon in the Age recently that I can recall. Therefore she has spoken to a few players somewhere and asked them if they saw Dank at Melbourne and they said yes. I doubt that. I doubt our players would even speak to her.

PS: Who has she called for to be sacked this week? That is her raison d'etre (reason for existence).

IF there is a rat still leaking negative slurs to Wilson & i repeat IF then we the financial members must demand they are flushed.

This is one reason why i was disappointed that we did not go to court to fight & clean out all the disagreements.

Are we back to "Business as Usual" after a rollover for not tanking?

Now Wilson may be still digging because most of her disgusting predictions did not materialize, but whatever it is i do not like the sound of it.

Somebody within is still in contact.

i didn't limit it to just the players.

That is my point. By accepting the AFL's sham certain people are still where they are.

Who it is i do not know? But Wilson's source back in last July could still be employed by the club and in turn is paid a wage through we members...

Apologise WYL but just linked your thoughts back to CW article. Did she mention Suns in the same context as they seem to have had more to do with Dank than we did. I do believe that whoever it was supplying her with info has gone to ground but at the same time the Club is now aware of the possibility of a rat amongst its ranks. We will never know who it is. They will quietly leave but unfortunately whoever it is will not give up without a change in certain personnel at the Club. That is the danger that we face in the future.

Yes you are right.

In a courtroom they could have been named & shamed. Very big opportunity missed there by the present board.

I think it is time for Mclardy to come clean this week, otherwise those little leaks will get wider.

They always do.

Wilson has sniffed out something here & she would be loving it.

I doubt she has made it up, I don't like her editorial approach but she usually has her facts right or at least she reports what she believes to be accurate from her source.

At worst she is correct and the club has been less than truthful, at best she is reporting a source with an axe to grind. Both of these scenarios leave me flat as if our pre season form has not been bad enough.

As 'WYL' says this needs to be stomped on now, this needs to be smashed out of the ball park. Some have said they know who has been causing the trouble so if they do it's time to spill the beans, everything needs to be cleared and the FD need clean air going forward otherwise we might as well all give up now.

Yes but in a courtroom we would also be open to questioning which we may not have wanted.

McLardy knows what is going on. He is tougher than a lot here would know. This has to be handled I now believe, in house. One of the reasons it was easy to crucify us was that we did leak like a sieve. We hear nothing of Essendon or Geelong or the Suns. We now have to close ranks. Those outside of the Club now will soon be seen as they are - former malcontent employees.

For the Club to answer a one liner from CW will only I think assist in festering a non-issue.

when have the leaks stopped?

The same leaks last year may well still be there. How do we know?

Why did Mclardy change tact so quickly when 2 weeks earlier it was Courtroom or bust?

A deal was struck. Was that in the clubs best interest long term or just the present board?

I like Don, but i am sorry something stills smells about all this.

It was "finished" too quickly after 8 months of muckraking.

A couple of A4 statements to the members i think was a little thin considering the shite we all endured.

I am happy to be convinced otherwise, but my intuition says otherwise right now.

Then if the story is true the club needs to take some action and by this I mean if Dank did any work at our club the person or people who denied it need to go, we can't afford amateur hour (or any hour) cover ups. Then we need to look at why he was there who brought in and what he did. Maybe he was there for 2 mins and our guys said no way or maybe it's all a total fabrication and the real story is he applied and the club knocked him back.

ok, so why has the MFC been mentioned though Jack, is it just too easy?

Highly respect your legal opinions btw.

Why has it been mentioned you ask. Well, did she get her man, the one she wants sacked, no he is still CEO.

That's pretty obvious 'Redleg', but how long can the club put up with this...and if the club has made misleading statements then he has just opened the door to more of the same.

The club either employed the guy or it didn't. It would be easy to verify if it did.

This harpy has it in for our club and some of its officials and at every opportunity puts the boots in. I note that she refuses to mention any of the rumours surrounding one of her beloved Tigers.

She has now ruined one of the footy shows I previously enjoyed, Footy Classified, as I can't watch the show without seeing and hearing her. IMO she has less credibility than the AFL and that's saying something.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
