.,....a choice.....to be a Melbourne Supporter....or stand in a corner facing the wall, chain smoking and having buckets of cold water thrown over you, whilst constantly turning to look back over the shoulder with the "Ride of the Valkyries" blaring out on a continuous loop.....

Aren't they the same thing!

Darren Jarman? Drafted but ever even came over to train?

And your defender is probably Nathan Bassett.

Might have been thinking of Matthew Bishop? or Nathan Bassett (Rookie listed I think?)

Anyway I agree, I think some players need to move, and it's the shakeup of being traded/delisted that actually gets them going at the level they need to.

For me the bite on the bum is pulling players into our team, and not having them perform.... that hurts more.

bassett had broken strenum and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes( think it was about the time he may been elevated to senior list, dont quote on this), like luke molan destined never to play for mfc

He hated playing at VFL level and he was never happy living in Melbourne

Moloney will come back to bite us hard as will Rivers. Previously posted the Guy's we've lost are better than the Guy's commin in, i.e. Dawes, Byrnes V Rivers, Jurrah, Moloney and Greene. 2013 is looking scary.

LOL I'll be saving this post for this time next year.

If Neeld can't back himself in to do this, what does it say about him?

It may say " here is another in a long line of footballers from many different clubs under many different coaches that had god given talent but possibly werent prepared to work hard enough to turn talent into constant high level performance".

Once again - let us blame coaches for the footallers failing to deliver on promise.

God that's poor posting. You're forgetting to add in Viney, Wines, Barry and potential development of Taggert etc. Moloney and Jurrah both didn't play, Green was sporadic and Rivers played his best games in 2012 in the fwd line.

What are you basing your judgement on? Their previous best or their output next year? I can guarantee you Green and Jurrah would be huge liabilities next year, Moloney never bought into the AFL system of defensive running thus would be no help in 2013 and Rivers has been overtaken by a 21 year old pick 53.

The anti-Neeld on here is so frustrating.

and what did Moloney & Jurrah do for the MFC in 2012??

So much i can't even remember. You have an agenda Pants. You do not want Neeld to succeed.

We can forget about Brent, no Jamar at Brisbane. I think we'll really miss Jared in the backline, where he dominated this year but it opens a spot up for somebody else so hopefully it's a case of short term pain, long term gain.

They guys we lost might have been better when they were good footy players but all of them (excluding Riv), for different reasons, had their best footy at the MFC behind them. You're living in the past, pants!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
