Driving me crazy - the trade radio keeps dropping out! Not that its a great loss as it is gold standard filler! How many times can Wallace and Gromit say the the same thing.

Wallace update btw - he thinks 20 for Dawes is more than enough an the dees shouldn't give up anything else.

Marty Task says no movement on Ray. If we don't get him i would be thinking it's a shame about Ray.

"Give the bloke a break ffs."

I give no-one a break. I leave that for supporters like you.

Yeah, I've sat next to blokes like you at the footy, taking out their frustration with their world on the players they purport to support.

Support, funny word that.

Anyone who quotes a Facebook page as a confirmed source should have his or her account deleted.

Source is not a Facebook page. Very reliable source. This is what Collingwood have asked for not what we are offering.

If we can drag it out till we get our compo for Riv (if he goes) I'd suggest to the pies pick 27 + Ricky and we keep pick 20.

I don't sit.

You're welcome to have your views and I'll have mine. I spent 20 years making excuses for Melbourne players. But I know there's more than enough Melbourne supporters who'll readily do it for me.

If there are valid reasons why a player doesn't play consistent footy, such as Dawes coming back from a fractured knuckle in 2011, or playing a different role last year, I'll make such assessments, but when it's just a bone lazy player like Sylvia, or a player who picks and chooses his contests like Watts, I'll treat them accordingly.

Just for those who are talking picks way over pick 20 -you do realise that the doggies offered pick 21.Dawes is contracted and Collingwood can say you go where we say or you dont go.

Petterd + 20 for Chris Dawes CONFIRMED !!

If this is the case, you and I have very different definitions of the word 'confirmed', sir.

Facebook fella says that Melbourne are the ones who have made the offer to "Collyingwood", with "Pettard" on the table.

Sounds reputable to me.

Well why not say that initially that it's an offer only, rather than intimate it's a "CONFIRMED!" deal.

Indeed. A "very reliable source" that is completely unverifiable is a long way from a confirmation.

Lol now I can't wait for the trade period to end, after holding my breath from round 10 onwards for this season to end..

What a crap religion this is!

Yeah, lets ruin the whole deal because the difference between 20 and say 27 is just too big to deal with..

FFS muppets like you make me frustrated

for dawes I think pies are after our pick 20 & moloney compo pick (possibly second round)

Well I would tell them to sod off then. I am starting to come around, just, to 20, maybe, but no more (except maybe throw in Morton with the undertaking that they play him every time they play us!)

Do some people on here really understand the importance of structure down the spine?

Good. Go outside and chew on a bone for a while.

Too much. Let Dawes got to Footscray and let Collingwood settle for #21.

Haven't you heard? Collingwood won't settle for a pick like 21, "they'll have to do more than that"...this is Dawes we're talking about.

I think that was the bit that Pman picked up on just quietly.

Good. Go outside and chew on a bone for a while.

No need to get all butthurt about it- simply think before you post thoughtless drivel next time.

It saves time, space and money.

The Magpies are pushing Dawes out as Q Lynch came cheap and their salary cap is bursting at the seams.

Is this correct? Are the Pies replacing him with a cheaper version?

Why else would you opt for Q lynch over Dawes?

Surely Dawes is the better prospect?

Is his hand rooted?

Strange

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
