    • Yes, I'm a DEE until the day I die, through thick and thin
    • No, I have a tipping point, like anything in life
    • Hmm, I may have to reserve judgment on this

Too much emotional capital spent to leap now, but, there hasn't been much of a return on the investment. However, hope's eternal and when our time comes, I won't be accused of jumping on the bandwagon.

If the Suns bid on Viney, or Gws for that matter, and Melbourne let him slide I'm through with this club.

I don't believe they'd be that stupid, so I consider the status quo will remain, but I'll be true to my word.

I will die a demon!

Regardless of how many games I can get to I will always support them via my membership.

What might be conditional for me is my support for Aussie Rules footy itself. Its all the rubbish that comes from the MRP, the control freak mentality of the AFL and the moronic media that is doing my head in.

But I will die a demon.

Apparently last night Channel 7 news said collingwood wanted pick 4 for Dawes and Wellingham?

If we do this I will have to rethink my unconditional position quoted above. They are discards for goodness sake! Could help list so would be ok with them coming to MFC but Pick 4: never, never, never!!! With inflated incomes: never, never, never!

Pick 4 should be moved ONLY for an elite player or a MD pick. Anything else and I will seriously question the direction we are heading.

If this trade did happen, i think it would be a short sighted move BUT perhaps Neeld is only interested in the next 2-3 years. He's trying to build a team that can compete, and Dawes and Wellingham would help us do that next year

Still, I hope its a rumour!

It better be a rumour. I'd rather wait a few years and build a side that will compete for premierships than have a quick-fix that will see us MAYBE scrape into the eight only to have our @sses kicked in an elimination final.

We will not do either thing that people are worried about.

Now we know one of your tipping points.

They won't BH.

Yes, my MFC support and purchase of membership is conditional, but ive found in the past 3-4 years. I have found a great appreciation for a couple of other clubs, other than melbourne. A Second and third club, if you will. I mean, its hard not to.

But yes, my primary support for this club is unconditional.

Are you sure you're not a closet Hawk OD?

They lost by the way. :)

YES !

After the Dees P_man I admire the Hawks.

I have said elsewhere on a couple of threads that they represent everything that the MFC do not.

Succesfull for decades, win flags, tough, take no prisoners, Hated by all other supporters, plenty of money in the bank and play finals almost every year.

Whats not to admire?

Oh crappy colours but you cannot win them all.

I just cannot believe the stupidity of this club, but more worryingly I'm border-line not caring anymore.

To watch on and see what was happening at Essendon and to not immediately contact the AFL and say that we have been dealing with this bloke Dank is extraordinary. It's not a matter of whether there was a breach of WADA regulations, it's a matter of integrity and transparency. It's about a duty of care to the players and openness with those players parents. The oily approach of this club and the treatment of its supporters beggars belief.

I'll watch this latest disaster with interest. I expect the club to take the appropriate steps with those concerned in this cover up. Some officials should resign in embarrassment before the day is out. My on-going support will be fully dependent on how they handle this final (hopefully) mess.

Welcome back!

You used your postcode post reacting to a non issue.

Everyone's missed you.

We were worried sick.

Could not agree more 'Ben'.

I think one of the main players is already gone, but more need to come forward or be pushed. The sooner Jackson starts at the club the better, May 1 cannot come to quickly.

This year was the closest I've been to not paying my melbourne membership. I did on the weekend, but its really borderline at the moment. The players and the supporters deserve better.

shhhhh...doesnt matter what is happening at Essendon....no one will find out about us.... (OMG)

Mine is. I'll be there on Sunday and for every match this season. This inept Board and coach are not our club and are merely passing players who will soon be gone.

One day we might learn, but if we don't so what, I'll still support.

I'd like to believe i could stop caring but i cant. My current state of disapointment is proof!

I care about the MFC, so much so that the latest news and heavy losses effect my mood generally.

Unconditional

How could you not follow this club.

Its like watching a car crash, you just cant look away.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
