No but we all happily do it online for any one to read.

positive bunch

It's a bit of a different Media -our readership are all on the same side.

We just differ in opinion from time to time.

Sheahan shat in his own nest for all to see.

Dirty Bird.

Problem being I was with 8 members of my family... all Melbourne supporters.

Can you imagine how this could have panned out?

Best to remain silent at this time I think.

8 members of your Family-all Demons...& you remained silent??

I can imagine how this would have panned out....YOU would have felt much better.

Don't let these opportunities slip again...What is Chris Connolly's job anyway??

Not sure I have seem many of our supporters post that we are a and I quote Sheahan's words, " disgusting and pathetic club". You might say that about our football this year, but not about the entire club and all the people who have and do belong to it.

Imagine for example you belong to the Melbourne Cricket Club and on TV and in print you call the club a "disgusting and pathetic club", don't you think your membership would be at risk. My view would be as a Committee member, that if you wish to harm the club, you don't deserve to be a member. I am not against freedom of expression but not at the acceptance of slander.

Saw Sheehan at lunch on Friday - had the MFC tie on.

Rumour has it that he has fallen on hard times since he is no longer chief footy writer for the HUN and he picked up the MFC tie circa 1986 (did you notice the royal blue?) from St Vinnies.

I chat to Ayres from time to time,he goves the impression of being in love with his wife which is nice. He also told me that he was up for the Dees job but they didnt ring :)

Please don't spread this around, I don't want Sheahan finding out or it will be everywhere but I was the coach of my son's U14's Grand Final team and I was up for the job too but they didnt' ring me either. Don't know what the hell's wrong with them. Bugger them, I'm going to do a Sheedy, I'm going to poach Trengove and get him to play on his knees so he's short enough and no one will notice him in the U15's next year.

Totally agree, when you attack the 'club' not the admin, coaching group or the players you are attacking 150 years of history, the foundation of the AFL Football, all the former players, every member of the club from the bootstrappers to the cheer squad to the volunteers, the billets, the bugler :P as well as all of the fans. People should watch what they say. It drove me mad when people were calling our club irrelevent and soft. The club is more than the team, for the record a president who fought cancer and fought for youth in a public way is far from soft, the way the club adopted a young Barassi after his father was killed was far from soft, the way the club rallied around T. Broadbridge was far from soft. The way the club support LJ was far from soft, the way the club responded to racism allegations was far from soft, the way we dumped Energy watch was far from soft! This club is so much more than what is going on right now on field.

Top post Deejammin.

Whilst some of our performances this year were uninspiring, our actions off the field have been honorable for most of our history.

Pity we cant say the same for Mike.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
