Like Lucas Cook, Davis hasn't fired a shot in his 2 years at the club. But unlike Cook, he has gone under the radar and no one seems to screaming for him to be given the Bulli. Should he stay? Will he stay?

I think Davis is deserving of a bit more time. Hes shown a little bit but needs to beef up some and refine his skills. He has a crack. Theres somehting there but is it enough. Too soon to call I would think. He might be advantaged by all the other departures..lol

Troy Davis weights in at about 96kg at the moment, how much more beef do you want?...

I think he is a 'fringe' trade/delist player.

For the right price he'll be traded

If not traded and we need to free up some space he ll be delisted. If not we will keep.

does he..thats ok .. is listed as lighter. cheers

I've seen him in most of his games both last year (part of which was during a period of recovery from a thyroid problem) and this year.

He had a poor patch in the middle of the season and he needs to work on his delivery when under pressure but I think he has some good attributes and there's a lot more development in him.

I'd keep.

I have liked his work at Casey this year, but a bit like Tom McDonald, when he makes a mistake it is usually a big howler that leads to opposition possession or a goal. Works hard, and is a good defensive mark but Sheahan and Tynan are probably ahead of him in the pecking order. For mine, keep him as back-up.

I've posted this before but the clubs player page hasnt been updated all year. I know of heaps of players weights that have changed a bit, including Cook although irrelevant now. Watts is also 89kg not 91kg as listed. I will be in at the club today to discuss some things so I will mention this among other improvements.

As for Davis he is a strong competitive beast who hates to get beaten, just disposal lets him down. He'd be sitting on the fence as to which way he could go but I'd say he'll be kept now Cook has gone.

I said in another thread that one of Cook or Davis would be shown the door and the other should be kept.

Looks like Cook's on the way out so I'd definatly keep Davis.

Very good contested mark, strong, reasonable pace and likes the tough stuff. Unfortunatly not a great kick!

It's worth noting that he can play forward also. In a Casey game earlier this year against Bendigo at Casey when we got thumped he went forward in the last quarter and took a couple of nice marks and kicked 2 goals.

Could be something there. 2 year deal for mine, but it'll be make or break for him.

Is a classic case of getting another good preseason into a kid. I think he'll respond well.

( and 5 months of kicking tuition please )

I'd keep. He's competitive, has a bit of mongrel, has good pace, he's big, and I reckon he'll get better.

And if Rivers goes he's a ready replacement.

Why is everyone saying Rivers is going? Are we working on our Demonland determinism?

Geelong are apparently open to the idea of Rivers replacing Scarlett.

and you know...the kid looks like he actually wants to be out there. I cant say that for a lot of blokes ( but theyre going  )

Agree. Unlike Cook, he goes in hard. Why not see if he can play forward.

I'd like to see him given more time.

He looks distracted like many young men, & I suspect he has his nose out of joint for some reason. But I saw big potential last year.

He needs to get his shoulder sorted, & really work on his kicking action (ball drop). And grow up a bit.

Great appetite for the contest but is a horrendous kick and seems to be too short to play on AFL-sized tall forwards. Would keep others ahead of him

He's taller than Ben Rutten, Daren Glass, and Matthew Scarlett, but he's too short.

FMD.

I think he's gone, but I've never seen him play so I'm completely unqualified; just going on gut feeling. Happy to take on board the view of KC and those who have seen him play.

What happens with Rivers could be the difference.

I thought $cully was staying, Bailey would be coaching us in the finals this year, and that Jack Watts would be tearing it up at CHF.

How the fcuk do I know if Davis should be re-signed or booted?
