Whats the deal with Taggert, brand new recruit and plays 2 games for the season? You got to be kidding me.

Basically a wasted draft pick. Kids drafted this year will be ahead of him from the word go.

If you watched his game at Box Hill you would know that this kid can really play. Poise, good size, decision making and great kick, seems like the type of player we need.

Pity he didn't get on the park enough but a really good pick for a 2nd rounder, one year in the system playing or not still keeps him ahead of the game.

I notice the number of Demons eligible to play for Casey in the finals (after this week when selection is open) is now down to only eight – Eight Demons eligible for VFL finals

Jake Spencer is the player taken off the previous list, presumably because he played too many AFL games (?).

That’s a blow to the Scorps and might explain why, despite finishing on top, they are fifth in the line of favouritism for the flag according to the Herald Sun.

In that case then it isn't worth unsettling the Scorps winning ways to give Fitz one meaningless game & put Spence in the Casey team, for just one match? then further unsettle them again into the first week of Finals.

Are we trying to stop Casey again???

We all know we want pick 3 & 4 in the draft, so why wreck Casey for nothing?

We do not even need to consider them in our selection process-although it's nice that you have .

Casey is getting a lot out of the relationship already .

We can be mean to her and use her how we like.

and dump her if she starts to get annoying .

Also not bringing in players who are playing well in the VFL at the expense of players who are losing in the AFL may well get us investigated by the afl if one of our players shoots their mouth off in a couple of years ;)

I always thought Valenti showed a bit for us - more than others that stayed when he got the boot.

KC, has Valenti had another really good year or is he just favourite based on past performances in the award?

Valenti is a good VFL footballer but is not tall enough and too slow to go further. At VFL level, he's very much like another Liston contender, Tom Couch, a ball magnet who dominates.

Is Cook playing in the Development League game, or is he on he bench in the firsts?

so if a team is losing, it means they don't take their side seriously? maybe their VFL players just aren't that good? seriously mate pick the right time and place to have a go at other clubs

Let's see Box Hill Hawks in the VFL finals and Collingwood out - the conventional wisdom is that standalone resrves is better but I'm not so sure.

It's on TV anyway..

Sunday, ABC, 2pm.

Sh!t, sorry.

TV guide give me dodgy info.

Qtr time - Scorpions up - 2.4.16 to 1.0.06.. but we had a 4 goal wind and wasted it!

Magner hurt his ankle.

Quarter Time: Casey 2.4.16 to Werribee 1.0.6

The Tigers would be happy as it's a strong wind and that goal against it was invaluable, especially after Casey's strong start.

Stats leaders: Clay 8, Gysberts 7, L.Tynan, Collins, Couch, Magner 6.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
