I would like to get one of Caddy, Wellingham, or Stevens. Caddy would be 3rd in my line.

Wellingham would be #1, if only so he could sow seeds of how good playing and working for MFC is to his housemate.

Have heard Caddy to the Blues for pick 11 and Ellard seems a lot to give up, hope Melbourne don't try and outbid it

Its interesting that there has been no talk about Wellingham to Carlton given they seem to be after Caddy. I'd rather Welingham and you probably wouldn't need to give up as much (Wallace had him late first round if he went into the draft). I assume they have the cash given they were apparently making a play for Cloke.

I wonder if that suggests Malthouse doesn't rate him - he certainly would know all his strengths and weaknesses.

I would have thought that GC would only be accepting picks due to their list reduction

Yep I went to school with him and he was a massive pr*ck to everyone. Had his head so far up his clacker it wasn't funny.

Barrett just said rumours are that Caddy won't nominate a club because he is worried the fallout would leave him at Melbourne.

Apparently just does not want to come to Melbourne.

So we should just forget about him. There are many, many ways pick 13 could be better spent.

Get 4 of the Jacks to ring him, Grimes, Trengove, Viney and Watts.

Well he can [censored] right off then.

Fine with me CB

I took interest in him this year read all the reviews of GCS games saw him twice on TV and watched him at the G vs the Dees.

I struggle with what all the fuss is about.

looks a ordinary player on his good days to me.

Happy he does not want to come to the Dees.

The feeling is mutual.

People not wanting to come to the dees ends next year, when they realize what playing in a team with Viney means.

Am I happy? Absolutely over the moon. We got Hogan and Viney, I am wrapped! We are instantly a better team without kicking a ball.

Now MFC finish off this dream result for me, and get Wines and Viney together- leading by example, showing the rest of the team how it's done.

What a day! :)

In fairness he is slightly overrated... Also clearly overrates himself.

I know we have been a bit of a basketcase but come on what 20 year old acts like that? Seems a fair tool.

If he don't want us,we don't want him. Simple.

Trade Radio - his manager just said they haven't spoken to us. So that's no Caddy. Thank God.

His manager has not spoken to Melbourne at all. I would have thought he would want to come to Melbourne so he doesn't have to line up against Viney. He will more then likely not be a dee which doesn't bother me at all.

So you saw a 2nd year player with only 25 games experience playing in the 17th side twice on TV and once in the flesh and are prepared to write him off completely as ever being able to be a decent player in the future?

I am assuming one of those games you watched on TV was not the game against the Cats?

Then he qualifies for the 'no [censored]' policy.

I think Taggert is a similar type player and I like the look of him more, Trengove and Grimes are others. If we get Wines we have another.

Need to look at some good outside running ball getters, MacRae, Haynes, Garlett, Kennedy would be a better bet.

GAMEDAY: Match SIM vs North Melbourne

The Demons will take on the Kangaroos in match simulation play, starting from 10am AEDT and broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo. The play start time was brought forward from the initial 11am bounce, due to the high temperatures forecast.  The match sim will consist of four 25-minute qu

It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
