Disappointing thus far.......and meek.

Where's that Neeld shut down plan?

Worst effort of the season so far. They cant handle the new game plan of going wide. Just keep kicking it out of bounds and turning it over with no plan "B". I thought we were going to be "the hardest team to play against"? What bull. We started season soft and still soft but at least we haven't lost any ground from last year I suppose. I thought also Misson was a genius and going to improve our fitness? Half the list unavailable through injury? This is really a limp effort. Davis for Dunn, Gysberts for Bate, Blease to start ( and for Chr..t sake get him signed pronto, if you can't hand in your badges, the only quick player we have) Cook in also and lets see what we have got. Maybe Tynan also. Surely its time for some of them after watching this.

Anyone else happy with Blease today?

He's an interesting one. There's a lot to like about him and I reckon he's got a good future with us, but clearly he has issues with Neelds non negotiables. I hope he stays in because he has excellent speed on him, something we really lack.

IMO a better option the the likes of Bail and Davey.

This coach is doing my goddamn head in.

Make a move FFS we are getting destroyed.

Our midfield should be taken out the back and shot.

They forgot to take the 'White Screen'.

We had one thing going for us this season, our backline.

Way to utterly destroy that Neeld, and for what? I don't see us kicking more goals..

Blease is a non Neg!

The kid takes the game on, he represents everything we arent - so I see why he clashes with Neeld!

Keep Blease at all costs!

Mean only as a coach seeing I was talking coaching insights, but yeah he's probably wrong seeing we're going so well today huh....

stuie, you and I could have coached the players he had to a flag/s.

its funny - in other sides a down day allows players to stand up and get noticed and push for selection. But not in Melbourne, well other than Blease (who never should have been out in the first place!)

hang on//....... that was footy !! wtf lol

As far as I am aware Gysberts is still injured or recovering from a bad injury or he'd be in. He will be a gun I think.

Errrr..... that's a bit silly... Would they have been as good with a different coach? ie: Bailey or Neeld?... hmmmmmmm

Possibly the worst commentary display I can remember. An embarrassing bunch. Bit like our footy team.

He's been back at Casey for 2 weeks I think and has been really good, he'll get a game next week, guaranteed.

I'm sure that quote is a massive regret from Mark, but did he say, "in 2012 we will be the hardest team to play against"? No.

He said it is his aim to make Melbourne the hardest team to play against. We are the very definition of a work in progress. And IMO weare better than last year, not much but improving.

Just don't know why I bother with this rubbish club anymore, there will never be a payoff for all this pain. We have learned nothing this year and are going nowhere.

Mission can't work miracles in one year - this year is all about 2013.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
