Who Do You Want To Beat?

One of my best mates if a collingwood supporter (and yes I am ashamed to admit that)

therefore of course Collingwood, queens birthday 100+ points

especially as we have been soooo close to beating them in recent history (what is it 3 points over the last 3 games?)

We came very close in 2010 (losing by 1pt and drawing them), but were flogged by them on the QB last year. It would be so sweet to knock them off this year.

Carlton, dear god Carlton.

I would buy everypaper and read every article, tape every footy show where I might see/hear/read them say how bad the blues were.

Oh wishful thinking.

I'd rather read about how good Melbourne were rather than how bad the Blues were.

Must win this week then close honorable losses to ess and coll ...then win every game after that.

actually I like losing

winning is just another form of bullying and an extension of regressive childhood behaviour

i think joan kirner had it right

we should be lobbying vlad to bring in kirner-rules and cease the keeping of scores in all afl games

.....just extractingb the urine (fpor those gullible readers)

Hate then all. But at the moment it has got to be Carlton, simply because if we knocked them off they would go into a frenzy of finger pointing and self loathing that may de-rail their coach...

Collingwood without question!! they were lucky to beat and draw us in heir premiership yr and it's etched in my mind 4ever the

FerrAl abuse we used to cop for yrs going down to VIC park , for win or a

Loss... And just to hear Eddie friggin squirm about the money they lose allowing us to stage queens bday

That would top it off

Even if there were, Scully wouldn't be worth of my one cent pieces.

agreed. i say we get hostile, like the episode off the simpsons where they play pee wee hockey and all the inmates get to go to the game and end up trashing the stadium, if GWS beat us and scully gets BOG i say we act accordingly.

At least the players will hold up their end of the deal, arm in arm with the opposition.

surely the MFC supporter base will be out in droves for that game? i expect nothing short of 40,000 there to heckle and abuse and intimidate GWS and there 4 supporters

You'd hope so. I'm actually very worried about playing GWS, though. I think if I had to tip, at the moment I would be tipping against Melbourne.

10 goal win to the dees, no dramas against the bunch of construction workers.

I sure hope that's what happens. The fallout of a 12th straight loss to start the season to the competition's newest team would have a devastating impact on the club.

We have got too much class and ability to lose to gws and gold coast, even when we play brisbane and port im expecting wins because we have seen what melbourne are capable of. It will eventually click and it will start this week. Everyone will see the 'wheel' begin to move in the direction we all want it to.

Collingwood.

No wait, Carlton.

No wait, Essendon.

Heh, I did exactly the same thing. I landed on Essendon though as they need to be brought down a peg, I think they'd be the most disappointed to lose to us given their current big headed state and I like seeing opposition supporters hurt (is that mean spirited?). Carlton second preference - can't stand them and would love to see the riot that'd cause. Couldn't care less about Collingwood at the moment.

I think class is exactly what we're lacking. I do think it will click eventually, but I'm expecting big losses for the next 3 rounds and we'll be heading into the GWS clash with confidence at an incredible low. I know we are more than capable of thrashing teams like GWS, but as of now, I struggle to see it happening.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
