Yes some class in the midfield would be ideal. Problem is he seems to happy at the Crows.

I reckon we should throw $700k, maybe 800k just get this kid.

Yep MOA get him make him an offer hard to refuse, get in his agents ear now and tell him we want him name the price. Him, Viney & another fringe player from another list (like Kennedy from Hawks to Swans) targets for next season

I've been saying on here we should get him since last year. He's a proven midfield gun with grunt and pace, everything we need in a midfielder at this point in time. He is the prototype player going forward, and we could build an entire team around him as our marquee player. I'd pay him a million a year and trade first rounders to get him as he is a proven gun. People over-rate draft picks. No point picking up potential guns if we can't develop them. I'd take a proven gun over a draft pick any day, even if it was Pick 1. Time to start trading for established players and hope we can net some like we did Mitch Clark.

Problem for us now though is Adelaide are playing well now and he's less likely to leave. He's a leader there, and probably their next captain. Why leave that to go from top to bottom? And that is the problem we will face when trying to recruit anyone at the end of this year.

I thought the same of Clark. Everyone has a price and SOME players like a challenge. it would not actually be that hard to sell Melbourne. Down now, but elite coaching and sports support, new young players with potential, jack Viney coming soon, pain now for future gain and all that. What we need to do is stay focused and united at the club. And to make some hard decisions on pkayers now that will benefit our future.

And so have I.

And a few have said last year, he's no good!

I agree!

Cloke will be staying at the Pies anyway I would think. He aint goin anywhere!

You would'nt think Dangerfield would want want to leave the Crows the way they are travelling.

BUT! 800K and go home factor could be tempting.

We need too trade for 3 or 4 experienced established players.

Dangerfield, Jon Griffin, Koby Stevens, FA Goddard.

The exit of Moloney, Jamar, Sylvia, Davey should free up some more cash.

We could trade Pick 2 for Danger?

yep couldnt agree more offer him 800k a year with a big chunk front loaded for next year say 1.6 mill if he agrees then work out a deal with adelaide example being our second compo pick 12ish and sylvia if that fails would give up our 1st compo pick depending where we finish

yep forget cloke too expensive we have clark, jurrah also we need quality mids over a key forward imo

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
