Yeah I do.

I am personally a little sick of trying to negate the other team's weapons. I think it's time our 'in and unders' got it to our 'slick and quicks' around the stoppages and forced other teams to defend what we have.

I'm just sick of being negative and chasing tail all day.

Chasing tails? I have Trengove, Magner, Couch & Jamar as the 1st ruck for us. With Jones and Watts on the wings, & Davey could push up to the front edge of the square at the bounce, to rush past if needed.

While Couch may be considered a run with who can win his ball as well, Trengove & Magner can play they're own games head to head.

The 2nd change may be different depending on the matchups but I think we should try to win our own footy, to increase our reliance on first use of the hard ball.

Otherwise I'd have started with McKenzie & Bartram in the guts.

Davey and Moloney should come back into the side . Morton needs to be given a chance sooner or later . Couch , Tapscott , Petterd and Martin all have claims but I've a feeling all our senior players will get a chance to step up .

Bennell , Sellar , Macdonald , Bail and McKenzie are all under pressure to hold their spots . Morton and Couch squeezed out if the others I mentioned are fit .

Cheers .

I like it.

I'm just over the slower bodies in the midfield. I also am not sure what role Davey can call his own unless he can give us some zip out of the middle so we can deliver a controlled and targetted disposal. I'd like to see him given a chance as an outside mid.

'Chasing tails' referred to our often slow midfield always being 2 steps behind their opponents coming out of stoppages. It wasn't a response to your lineup, just a justification (attempted) for mine.

How does Davey get a start? What ever happened to proving yourself in the 'magoos?"

Casey would have 35 players this weekend if we stuck to that rule.

I am not sure who will be out, but Davey, Couch, Martin will all come in.

I would also like to see Tappy and Morton but doubt it will happen.

We all need to understand that footy clubs know players really well, and naturally they would rate the hell out of Davey, his skills are amazing despite losing a step of pace, so they would want him in the team.

I'd like to see Bartram on Cotchin. It is fanciful to think our mids can go with there's head to head and it's not like Bartram's killing it in the back line.

He did a very good job on him last time we met, when Cotch was in good form

FWIW I think the ins and outs are secondary this week.

Critical to whether we play creditably or not is how we do in the ruck - IMO Jamar has been dominated by the opposition in both games so far with the result that i can't recall one clean offensive clearance so far this year.

Don't blame the mids or the forwards if we can't ever get first use.

Big Russian needs a big one.

His pre-season form was actually pretty good. No idea what's happened to Russian the past two weeks. In fact his dip in form and confidence might say a bit about where the team is at as a whole.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
