His legs are probably turning to jelly from all the running in the new regime that his young body isn't used to.

He is one of the better runners at the club. His endurance is elite, over 15 in the beep test. He has no power in his legs and he is carrying something.

It sure looks that way rpfc

He plays in the mid-field with more senior guys like Moloney, Jones and other guys who havn't been showing much burst like Mckenzie. This is a new regime and no injury has even been mentioned by the club. Im sure one of the guys wouldve said he has a 'slight tweak' or something if he was carrying something as a reason for his performance. But no-one has!! except random demonlanders and there prosumptions and there random sources that never get named.

Wake up guys, his just struggling with the load at the moment.

Note: The physical load, i think he is quite fine with the captaincy

It could be that JT is pushing so hard in training (which Carey suggests he do) to set a standard that he's physically spent each week and has no power in his legs from that...?

I dont think he is injured at all sometimes players just cant find the footy and i think this might also be because he is over thinking on the football ground about gameplan and were his team mate's need to be since he took over as captain were as in the past it was simple see ball get ball for jack now his got all these things going through his head and is just out of form IMO.

The wheel will turn we all now his got great talent.

He just need's his team to be hard wired with there roles in the gameplan so he can worry about getting on with the job.

Just out of interest, is Carey still peddling that story about how all the Collingwood players hate Buckley or are they all in love again after 6 straight wins? He's gone fairly quiet on that one hasn't he.

He has no pace in the first quarter or the last.

Very concerning.

He certainly tries his guts out and from the interfviews I've seen he appears to be a mature young man. I just hope he can continue to carry the pressure until the team lifts enough to take some of the load he's carrying.

Does anyone else find this picture a little disturbing?

yeah, sure do. don't like to see so many tats on both arms. bad look

good pickup chookie

We may benefit from the father son rule here

Interesting to note his sister (Jessica) has been selected to run in the marathon at the London Olympics. Jack is playing like he ran a marathon the day before.

Mmmm....can she kick???

I would hope he will be shut down soon.

he needs a rest.

He really should be rested.

If injured, don't play him.

he needs a rest.

For heaven's sake, do you think the fitness and medical staff are ignoring whatever is troubling him? So many desktop doctors.

I'll back the medical dept to know what they're doing.

Thank you. ^_^

Because if he's not injured ... and neither the club nor the man himself have said he is ... then we look to have picked up no better than a good, ordinary player at pick 2 in the 2009 draft.

I know I'll be shot down over this but for the life of me I can't see what we're supposed to be getting excited about.

He has to be carrying an injury, he has lost a lot of pace.

saying what we are all thinking. if injured must be rested asap. dont want a luke ball x2

He just looks one step off it at the moment, I think there was 4-5 times where if he was in a step in the other direction he would have had the pill or been out in space!

Having said that he doesnt have much help from the older mids at the moment besides jones so it is tough to be a kid, who is captain with the world of expectations and not much help through the middle.

I'm no worried about him yet, still plenty of time and has shown good signs all be it not this year.

Everything about his lack of acceleration, massive turning circle and poor kicking penetration is screaming OP to me. He's like Luke Ball circa 2007.

I reckon he's either injured or low on confidence.

Ironically enough, he's in and under work was pretty good. Ie winning the contested ball in close. But when the spotlight is shown on him, be it a one on one play with the opposition or open goal he seems to faulter. I dunno, that's how I saw it on a few occasions.

If its just confidence than definitely worth perservering with as I think his breakout game the 2012 season is just around the corner. If he's a bit broken than the rest will do him good and might come back against GWS fresh and raring to go.

Chill out, he's out of form just like Jamar, Moloney, Sylvia, Green, Davey, Bennell, Frawley etc etc

Concerning. Why play an injured player if he is injured?

Or is he really as slow as a 3 wheel shopping trolley. I watched him a number of times yesterday. Jogging is Trengove at the moment.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
