Little Lord Voldemort

Featured Replies

i reckon he'll stay

Simple but sharp humour.

He was a gun at Melbourne

You must have been rapt with his 2nd year. Icing on the cake of achievement.

He may well go on to be a star of the AFL and an expensive one at that. But aside from acrimony he achieved zip at MFC.

It is a little sad actually that Tom $cully is not the captain of GW$ with that bogan hairstyle. It certainly represents the area well.

I was listening to SEN this morning they had an interview with Luke Power, when asked about T$ he slipped with , "if he can get his body right" and then changed the subject really quickly, I reckon he's was overlooked for the captain due to dodgy knee etc etc.

I heard that as well! Got me wondering.

If anyone looks like Voldemort in the AFL it is Chri$ Judd

I think it's more the reference to "he who shall not be named" as opposed to looks

Once he was a shy young kid, then Voldermort. Now he is NOSFERATU!

FYI. The moderators have deleted a number of posts from a number of posters which have frankly been personal (and often puerile) attacks on Tom Scully and those associated with him.

Please resist from falling into that trap. No player whether he plays for MFC or not should be subject to that sort of language on this forum.

Warnings will be issued for further unacceptable posts and the thread will be closed. If you still feel angst towards he who shall not be named, then take it elsewhere from here.

Thanks

What's wrong with having your age on the back of your jumper?

Or the amount of weeks it will take him to recover from his first hamstring strain.

Something which gets overlooked by media pundits spruiking that we pulled the trigger early on him. Even some supporters.

The back drop to the boy band photo doesn't exactly look like the MCG.

Will be fun running around that ground getting belted by 300 points in front of about 1,500 GWS supporters each fortnight.

Not exactly the kind of stuff dreams are made of.

Roadkill possum on his head.

Giants' ground worries

Moving to Olympic park, not so much the Greater Western Sydney as the Inner western Sydney who live in the Southern sydney by the water.

Interesting story about risk of losing players already due to facilities.

Sounds like voldemort is getting lots of opportunity to "check out the facilities"

That's wierd I thought $cully went up there and was instantly blown away by the facilities!

Instantly!

Because remember he hadn't signed anything and then went up there and BANG he was sold on the move! LOL, it's going to be a joy watching them get flogged every week.

And if you believed that there's a harbour bridge over there that I can sell you on the cheap if you like.

Why did Tom's hairdresser cut off the rat's tail bit?

Dudded ...

Dipper got hold of it, on his back, ribbing him, & riding him 'til, it had to go. Go the Big Dipper.

What an un-professional and rag-tag lot they are proving to be.

Yep before this thing's over I reckon they could be the Bad News Bears Mark II.

MONEY NOT THE ONLY LURE FOR SCULLY

When the Greater Western Sydney Giants play their home games, it has been decided that each quarter will take place in between each Quaddie leg of the Dapto grehounds, who are their co-tenants of the sporting grounds (the Giants actually play on the inside of the greyhound track).

8-9Shoulder2.jpg

In what is seen as a perfect cross marketing opportunity, GWS star recruit Tom Scully will be the "bunny" for each quaddie leg, due to his elite running capacity. Scully, wearing number 9, is seen pictured above with fill-in bunny Callum Ward (number 8), who will be on stand-by should Scully suffer from his chronic knee complaints that dogged him throughout his first 2 AFL seasons.

GWS coach Kevin Sheedy believes this is a fantastic opportunity for both sporting codes, and as the Dapto greyhounds has a regular attendence of over 55 of the western suburbs elite, it will ensure Sheedy's young pups will get to experience what it's like playing in front of a bit crowd.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
