Juddy must be in the spare room.

Reaching for the Doona? I don't think so.

How old is Oscar now?

Make up your own mind how this may have occurred in bed.

We should get some hilarious answers.

When I read the thread title I thought that maybe his dad had been offered a $200,000 a year job folding cardboard boxes.

I can confirm this RobbieF, Mrs OD has spent a lot of time in that industry and you are correct.

Second biggest is removing a garment while in a car!!!!!

No joke it is fact.

You folks seem pretty injury-prone. Not like me. I'm obviously made of steel since no amount of jumper-fetching and doona-reaching can undo my shoulders of iron.

Ol' Chris is struggling to keep up with the sheer flexibility of Bec, too many hard ball gets for Bec in the midfield. Chris needs to eliminate or at least minimize his clangers and improve his effectiveness in and under. If he can stay the distance and reduce his rotations he may get some consistency in his performance. It's quite obvious Bec is overworking him. Premiership quarter is where it counts Chris.

I have heard he has been enrolled into a new program at the Royal Institute of Biometric Studies, where he will be undergoing an intensive strengthening regime under the guidance of the highly regarded Dr Peter Puller (World Authority in Neuro Kinetic Energy Research). Any truth to this rumour?

This implausible story will surely earn him 3 Brownlow votes for originality!

And remember the old proverb: Always doona unto others what you would like them to doona unto you.

This topic inevitably makes me think of unusual injuries and how they occurred. My favourite involves an ammo about 25 years ago who was running laps at training and tripped over a dog. Out for 5 weeks with strained stomach muscles. Perhaps not the most exciting - but when the player concerned is your cousin, it makes it that much more hilarious.

The other one, which might be urban myth, involves a well known number 23 (not the soccer player or the cricketer) who had a hip injury allegedly caused by being, um, interrupted while otherwise engaged in non-verbal discussion with a lady friend.

If memory serves me correctly wasn't Brockhead Mclean recruited to Carltank to cover Juddy in such situations, e.g bottom of the pack, blocking and running interference and protecting Chris at all costs. The idea I believe was to allow Juddy some room to roam and help him finish off more efficiently . Obviously Brockhead hasn't been following team structures and Juddy has been left wide open to Twiggly. The poor bastard didn't stand a chance!

I used to think that too Chook.

Then at the tender age of 62 my right knee blew up.

All the long distance cycling went straight out the window.

Struggled to do any exercise for 6 months and put on 5 kg.

The Ageing process gets us all in the end.

And it will get you.

I hope it is all a long way off

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
