"Engaging in groupthink" - used often here as a pejorative to attack other posters by people who aren't able to put forward a valid opposing argument against those with who they disagree.

(I'm sure that most posters here agree with me)

Everybody in the house says yeah

"run both ways"

wtf is that supposed to mean, i mean, c'mon who can't run both ways

(unless it's a slur on one's sexual orientations)

Made me laugh

It's not really a cliche but " Have a bex and a lie down " really shits me. Anyone under the age 40 has no idea what a bex is let alone taken one.

I am well over 40 but these days I have about 4 Becks and a good lie down

"will be a (an absolute) gun" has been for many years a condemnation to disaster at MFC - how many times did I read this of Morton, Maric, Gysberts, $cully, even Cook, 426 etc etc.

Hold your tongue until one can truly say "x is a gun"

But if we don't let posters say "Player X will be a gun" instead they'll write "Player X could be anything".

Surely that's worse.

Perhaps not on this site, but generally 'for mine' and 'coalface' really do it for me.

I have one rule - if you can imagine Luke Darcy saying it, keep it to yourself.

For mine I think Darcy is ok.

But "Could be anything" is more accurate as it means he could be a gun or a spud

"i blame xxxxxx"

only three

I blame Schwab

I blame Neeld

I blame Jack Watts

( amended for accuracy)

And there it is !!!

only three

I blame Schwab

and you can add (at least) - "186" for ykw

Needs to build a tank, anything to do with tanks or tanking.

"Won't be part of our premiership side" or any dream forward line setups need to go!

"Could be anything"... Really? Could he be a microwave, or an air conditioning unit, or a paper clip? No.

God I love your work sweet!! You could be the reason I go straight - ( the lads are for it)!!

"Biffen should be banned, and that fat bustard Bitters."

"They hijack every thread"

"I came here trying to look for information "" etc etc.

Well we do try to hijack every thread. However, in our defence, what we have have to say is far more intelligent, articulate and worth considering than most other dicks that post here. However, I will grant an exception. If I am [censored] and Biffen is spun out on drugs, our posts are senseless!! eer hang on!

There you go again with your flatulence and distractions whilst Poor old Stu is appalled at people suggesting Mitch Clark is a low dog [censored] [censored] on the other

if this gets banned im out of here for good

Promise!

(You led with your chin there H-H...couldn't resist!!)

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
