Thats exactly why this club stinks because we are simply a bunch of individuals- that goes for the players, the board, the coaches and sadly the supporters and posters on Demonland. We should all fight together for our club because we all want exactly the same thing- success and effort. All opinions should be taken on board and we should all be working together and supporting one another.

We won't achieve success by supporting a fool whose opinions aren't worth the Internet space they take up.

I have just listened to Jimmy & Dean Bailey's presser.

I feel genuine sadness for Dean, because i know what he has been through and what he genuinely wanted to do for this club, and he still wants the club to succeed.

That is a man of immense strength and Dignity.

Thankyou Dean Bailey...as someone said earlier, when we do finally lift the 13th. a piece of that cup should always be for Dean because by God he has earn't it

Also, thought marketing of club amateur hour re sponsors backdrop for when Jim & Don's spoke. Perfect time to have MFC logo emblazoned and then Dean having a blank wall behind look less than dignified for a bloke who I thought exited with some class. Although I didn't rate him as a coach, I thought he did exit the right way.

Got to admit to being surprised he didn't see the writing on the wall & jump before he was pushed. The process at the Crows was so comparatively squeaky clean only because that's what Craig did.

What you've noted here is the dangerous side of over aspirational people.. Your right, but this is whats become of our democracy as well. The squeaky wheels get all the Oil.

Thining about this a little more, perhaps what Jim might be alluding to in regards to support from Lyon is not for Lyon to step in to a coaching role, but to assume the MFC presidency, so as to enable Jim to walk away from the job and focus of his personal challenge, knowing the club is in safe hands. Given Jim's situation, I think he's probably coming to the realisation that he can't keep up his amazing efforts for much longer, but feels a huge sense of responsibility to ensure the club's future. Gary Lyon could then still continue with many of his media commitments as present.

You know, everyone is all about how rough Dean's copped it but let's keep in mind and perspective, how much this must be affecting Jimmy. I cannot start to believe how much stress this bloke is under and how much this must negatively impact his well-being.

when i watched the press conference i wasnt really listening to what he was saying, i was just looking at him thinking "this guy should be lying down and taking it easy"

I'm not sure sure if he's the type who would want a media career, but I would rather listen to bails than any of the other former coaches. Especially Walls, he'd fit nicely into walls' media commitments.

I too would have preferred to see it done at the end of the year.

Bails has been nothing short of 100% in his integrity and his determination to put the club first. He basically sacrificed the second year of his contract to put the club in a better position for the long term.

I am grateful for what he has done from a list management perspective and in the way he has handled himself.

I don't think he deserved to be knifed the day after the game and perhaps it would have been better to wait until the end of the season to do it.

I understand that there may be other factors behind the scene of which I'm unaware which may have necessitated such swift action. But in the absence of such factors I would have preferred to give him until the end of the year and then the decision not to re-appoint him can be made then.

Scoop if the decision has been made that he was gone at years end where is the integrity in leading him along for 5 more weeks and then pretending that we then decided to not re-appoint. Short of winning the last 5 there is nothing DB would have been able to achieve to make up for that loss. Even with 5 wins I still expected him to be gone. People make it sound like he had no say in what happened out there on the weekend. I watched his coaching effort on Saturday and it was just as disgraceful as the players effort.

I think the point is NOT to make the decision until the end of the year. A loss, however horrendous it was, shouldn't in and of itself change the course, which was for Bailey to see out the year.

I think that the elephant in the room when the club was saying that Bailey acted with dignity (which he did) was that the club failed to honour its commitment to let him see out the year, and in fact it did not act with honour and dignity.

They should have waited until the end of the year.
