Last night showed what a performance looks like if you have 22 blokes committed to even the most basic of game plans. Maybe Craig was thanking Neeld for his crap performance which lead to draft picks. Who knows.

Also, Jack was sublime as was the 21 other blokes and Craig. Jones' lace out pass to Watts just one if the highlights. McDonald's run from half back scratched the surface of the potential we have. Toumpas & Nicholson's dash had me excited once again for red & blue. And just on that, it was nice seeing the boys wearing their traditional uniform last night. The white gives me the $hits.

Frawley looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Should be a wrecking ball in defense instead appears to be treading water until contract time.

Add CS's continue reference to trying to establish a 'profit (business)model' for the footy club. CS a classic case of Captain Obvious who has run out of tricks / template moves. Surely any business is striving for a profitable return. Too much focus on periphery stuff like ruining our traditional jumper and overseeing the design of a complicated logo instead of building the 'business' for long term viability which isn't underpinned by supporter generosity IMO.

I was watching Judd when we played Blues at the G a few weeks back and he seriously reminded me of a great white...wades into the fifty...everyone knows he is there and you know he is going to get the footy and do something damaging...no wonder Blues fans roll out the red carpet when he comes to the bench...

It's an interesting dynamic and tend to sit on the fence on this. Only thought would be to not make any assumptions until you see how Viney junior goes about it. Kamikaze in every respect. No issue of him earning his spot in our best 22 when his time comes no matter who the coach is. The kid has red & blue in his veins and his old boy I believe is the right fit for what MFC need now as head-coach. Let us cross that bridge in 2 years. Larger fish to fry currently.

T. Viney doesn't qualify for boys club as he is one of the few MEN at our club. I grew up watching the bloke and I'll be there Sunday wishing him all the best. Finally a pit-bull takes MFCs coaching reins. Non-negotiable no longer just a word.

Agree. You don't hear [censored] during game on Sat then gives blow by blow description of media conference. Also, thought marketing of club amateur hour re sponsors backdrop for when Jim & Don's spoke. Perfect time to have MFC logo emblazoned and then Dean having a blank wall behind look less than dignified for a bloke who I thought exited with some class. Although I didn't rate him as a coach, I thought he did exit the right way.

Interesting when Bailey was asked about what support he had from CEO & administration he referred back to feeling he had total support from players and coaches.

Not so sure about the ultra importantance Colin's has in our structure. Think Paul Roos hit it in on the head when he said Col is lazy. His form spikes too much for me and that probably goes hand in hand with his inability to hold down a regular position in the midfield as he doesn't have the engine or capacity to gut-run. Still wouldn't trade him, but also wouldn't make him a largesse offer. Would rather give the $ to Scully / Trengrove.

Who cares what other clubs think, if MFC believe Derm can add-value then get him in the mix. I think the great issue at the club at the moment is that our football department, apart from T Viney, has no experience in walking the walk on the footy field. Derm, come one down.

This was part of a great time in my youth when you would go to MFC games knowing you would see 20 blokes have an absolutely crack. Being hard at it was a non-negotiable. God bless swooper Northey and his Tiger-esque 'kill or be killed'. Alas those times have passed...but here's hoping they return some day.

I lay the blame solely on the wonderful two blokes who manage the change-rooms door on game day and never let me in to see my beloved demons up close pre or post match. Pair of buggers both of them and clearly at the heart of our poor start to 2011.

Spot on...could you imagine the response from Malthouse or Clarkson...Mick would be bristling ready to jam the reporter's head through a wall and Clarkson would be eye-balling the reporter ready to midget toss him...no edge Bailey...unfortunate, but a fact. P.S. Called his inability to coach 4 years ago to be hailed down by some of the sheep on here...glad to feel some justification. Does anyone know where Paul Gardner lives so I can post him a thank-you card...love being sold a lemon.
