I saw Tapscott and Trengove at Boutique on Saturday night/early Sunday morning. I was seriously [censored] off and didnt believe it at first. Even my mates who don't support Melbourne were surprised and frankly found it hilarious. They even realised how much of a joke it was. To top it off Tapscott bought a mate of mine, that he just meet at the bar,a drink and he is a Geelong supporter. I remember reading somewhere that an ex melbourne player at Hawthorn said there is a distinct difference in professionalism between the two clubs, and I now whole heartedly agree. I saw Andrew Gaff there as well but his side had won and he had gathered 31 possesion and kicked 2 goals. There is a time and a place for a drink but after you lose by 31 goals its probably not the right time

It worked wonders for Tom Harley when he struggled with becoming captain to be dropped to the VFL, he never looked back when he earnt his way back into the seniors and captained the team to 2 premierships.

It might be embarassing but it's worth it if someone is just resting on the laurels of being captain to stay in the starting 22.

It would now b nice to see B.Green come forward and offer his resignation up, as a gesture to D. Bailey, that the fault of HIS demise is not ONLY his coaching, but as his on field leader he has failed miserably to support Mr Bailey on THE PLAYING FIELD, I will then think more of B.Green than i do at the moment. Hopefully it's the first thing Todd will do, ask Green quietly to do the right thing if Green ain't got the BALLS to do it himself, and my replacement for him would b.......................well thats pretty hard, but i'm leaning towards Frawley for remainder of year, just my opinion.......??????

While i'm annoyed with Green's antics this weekend he is still one of our leaders and most valuable players so I don't think getting rid of him is the answer.

Maybe we should appoint another captain next year but i'm not too sure if they will do a better job.

Bet im not the only one that serously questions that. Not in terms of what he ought to be, but in light of how hes actually played.

He ought to be thoroughly ashamed of his antics and performance this weeken. How anyone could find anything to laugh about escapes me.

He ought to have voluntarily stood himself down. . There are just a few too many moments of smugness creeping back into his persona hailing back to his Sandy days for my thinking.

He does a lot of great footy things and very few captain things.

It would be the time I'd be getting one.

As long as they only had a couple and did all the required rehab then I'm fine with it. Collingwood and Geelong players love a drink, but they still manage to switch on. That's what I don't think our players do.

Green should have been dropped after the Wet Coke Game i said it at the time....2-3 weeks could have turned his season around....Too late now.

I think we need a younger Gen Captain for 2012....Trengove or Watts at this stage..They had a serious crack last saturday.

I thought Green was a good choice but it has turned out to be a bad move.

I do not think he should be retained as captain.

However that is an action for the off season.

I cannot see any gain from dropping him now.

For better or worse he is the captain for the next 5 weeks.

What really intrigues me is how you can go from all Australian to hopeless in six months.
