It seems to be apparent that Bernie Vince is on the radar for GWS, we must have money in our salary and should look to draft a good midfielder to add to our list.

Crows' fear over Davis speculates the Neil Craig is worried that he could go, but a fresh start in Melbourne for Bernie, could turn our midfield into an elite group.

Is there any other player like him available?

Vince has barley played this year to my knowledge, or having a down season....dont think he is the quality i would wan to add to our list

Neil Craig has openly said that Vince is slow. By body moreso than mind and with the increased pace of the game he is getting caught out. Opposition teams have him figured. No thanks. Keep growing our own until we are well and truly IN the finals before we start trading for needs!

Apparently he's lazy too.

Slow AND lazy - doesn't sound great!!

We have to many of those players, apologies for the suggestion. I beleive we need a pacy MIDFIELDER and we could have lots of money to hunt for one!

2 years ago Bernie Vince was a top line AFL player, but now cannot get a game in a sub ordinary Crows team..is it because he is not up to it, or is it a rift between him and Neil Craig??

Either way i would be very wary of recruiting him....Only because i think we can do much better than him if we need a midfielder.

What about Boak? Noticed he was mentioned in another thread - he fits into our target age margin (he's 23 this year, younger than Martin and Dunn), quality (unfortunately copping the best tag in an otherwise-terrible Port midfield) and almost certainly would like to move.

There was speculation about Boak last year. He signed a two year contract if my memory serves.

Are you describing Morton??

This isn't a Morton thread but that is not how I would describe Cale.

Clearly Demonlanders haven't watched alot of Bernie Vince....

Would walk into our midfield.

He has had injury issues this season and had rumoured disagreement with the way Neil Craig has handled the team.

Would love Bernie Vince at the dees. Still young!

Melbourne have invested heavily in running players last 3-4 drafts. what we absolutley need is a couple of bigger bodied key positon types. We can't spend 2012 all year hoping Watts and Jurrah can be our talls all year.

Then what is he doing playing in the SANFL?....a rumoured disagreement should be put aside in a professional environment.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
