I hope you reported that.

Look I'm a fair [censored] at the footy, but there are some things which are totally unacceptable. Racial abuse being one of those things.

I didnt, I was by myself, I thought of it but didnt really know where to go or who to tell?! The racist call towards Jurrah was said between the Richmond blokes behind me, but the call about Jim Stynes and the umpires was yelled out very loudly numerous times. I couldnt believe it.

I prob should have done something then and there, but unfortunately I didnt

Message the hotline. Seriously. There's no place for that [censored] at our wonderful game.

one of the richmond supporters ended up with my beer down his back after he stated some harsh comments about jimmy and his torrid time he is going through referencing him as a "cancerous slime" the worst thing i had ever heard in my life!

I was there with some of my family, and there were some feral Tiger supporters and their young kids behind us.

The game started with comments towards several Dees players, and all were ill informed comments.

I stated to my cousin that I would need to control myself today.

I decided to take a different approach and basically befriended the family, chatting as much as I could.

It was great cos by the end of the day I could tell they were annoyed but could ont say anything as I was so friendly too them.

I particularly loved their comments about Watts and how soft and favoured he is and how much they overrate their own players.

"He is Pettifer in a Melbourne jumper, he is crap. Mr chestmark!" - A feral from PRE talking about Brad Green.

Can't believe I never noticed the similarities, why wasn't he delisted years ago?

I've considered joining that bleeding website just so I can tell those idiots to pull their heads in. I know it won't change anything, but it'll make me feel a damn sight better.

I usually sit in the Trident section on Level 2, very civilized. On Saturday, I had to wait for my brother outside the ground before we entered. I have NEVER seen such a collection of ferals walk past me. It was so bad, that I sent my mate a text telling him I thought I was in the cells at the Dandenong Police Station. Have to admit though, that the Richmond supporters around us were quite decent.

All this whining about the character of another teams supporters (excepting the racial abuse and abuse of Jimmy which are both serious) is just encouraging the stereotype of us Melbourne supporters as precious, snobby etc. I just hope this forum is rarely read by outsiders.

In 13 years of going to the footy week in week out, I have never in my life been so disgusted by supporters' behaviour... and I've sat in the Port Adelaide cheer squad at AAMI Stadium before during a game where Melbourne won the free- kick count!!!

I'm all for loud, passionate, slightly psychotic supporters, but to freely scream out the C word multiple times during games when you are surrounded by little kids, and then abuse a man battling cancer, is not fair game and it is not OK. Absolutely shocking. Probably one rung below racial abuse.

You are far too worried about perceptions.

Our judgemental nature or our ease of congratulations for players coming to the bench.

Who gives a crap?

I guess I just don't like stereotypes in any form, but ah well the fact that I have been putting off writing an essay most of the day is probably making my posts a bit wayward.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
