For no apparent reason, I thought I'd ask what other people's favourite moments of 2010 were.

With not a great deal of thought (so don't get all, "omfg, howd uze 4get dis moment") here are some that spring to mind:

Scully's goal against Brisbane capping off a great, unexpected thrashing.

The last 5 minutes of the draw - wow!

Jurrah's soccer goal against Hawthorn.

One moment that oddly sticks in my mind was from the same game. It was early in the second, I was heading back to my seat from the Bullring (for one of my few cheekies during the season). I am greeted at the top of the stairs to see Aussie streaming down the wing, run to 40 odd and drill it. I don't think I've seen the members so crazy. I ran to my seat through a throng of screaming red and blue clad fans. Fantastic moment.

Dunn's goal.

The half split second I thought Petterd had that mark - it kills me to think of, but reminds me why we love this game.

They're just a few, post any others that stick out in your mind. Depending on results, I may include a poll later.

First one that sprang to mind was Scully's goal against Sydney midway through the second quarter. Put as about 50 points up.

Nothing particularly special about the goal itself - but he was on the run from about 45m and it was gun barrel straight. The crowd started cheering as soon as it left the boot and you could almost feel the sense of "Oh my God. We are playing like a dream" from the 30,000 strong crowd at once.

EDIT: found the clip on YouTube

We were epic that day. Will never forget it.

Gotta agree with this 1 .

I haven't let out such a primal roar in years when I thought he'd taken it .

Scared the kids , dogs and neighbors and left me shaking for 10 minute after I reakon .

Jamar running hard into the forward line leaving Fraser in his wake for mark and goal late in the QB game .

Frawleys chase on Jetta .

Any one of Joneseys long bombs from outside fiddy .

Any of Jurrahs stuff that just makes me let out a little giggle of amazement that he's ours .

Watching us carve up the opposition with speed and precision while going coast to coast .

Watching Sylvia unleash his speed an power .

Love the way Scully is running Flat Out & dead straight through the centre square long before he gets the ball. That's why he went number one. B)

- Frawley's chase on Jetta.

- Bennell shimmy on Malceski in first 8 seconds of Swans match.

- Scully's entire last quarter against the Bulldogs.

- Watts putting in 2nd, 3rd & 4th efforts on the ground against the Swans, eventually handballing it out, leading to a goal.

- Frawley owning John Brown.

- Anytime I saw Dunn's powerful mustache.

Sydney game I think - text book perfect goal from defence. Can't quite remember who started it, but it came to #32 (forgotten his name) on the defensive 50 line, who booted a pin point pass to Sylvia at the other end of the ground who went for a run, then over to Wonaeamirri in the goal square.

That day was probably my favourite of the year.

it's the same every year just as they are about to bounce the ball in our first game.

love the hole build up the days before when the kids keep talking about the game and how we will go for the year.

then then the hour or so drive to the game where we always listen to the demons cd as we leave home and the chat in the car the hole way.

then as you take your seat's at the MCG no matter if in the cheer squad or with the members and the cheat with friends and strangers about how we will go that year .

Then the team rans out the song my blood starts to rush the family sing as one the crowd cheers.

all this build up and then that siren sounds as the ump holds the ball above his head.

anything is posable at this point,

Bring on 2011

Cant wait

being overseas for a big chunk of the season i missed quite a few games, inc the sydney game. however my fav. moment was easily the brisbane game.......they were 4-0 and top of the ladder at the time, and we just ran riot. amazing.

Chunky Jones' "Timmy Watson moment" hurdling over an Adelaide defender to goal at the Punt Rd end.

Same game: Trengrove's first goal and running off to the bench to be greeted by an ovation from the Member's Stand.

Mark Jamar elated and deflated, flat out on the Marrara turf at the end of our win against Port.

"Bombres" fan shouting incoherent obscenities at their own players as we blew them away at the start of the last quarter at the 'G.

Gotta agree with most of the above, esp the swans game

The win against Essenscum should have been a highlight

We powered away from them for 3 quarters with high scoring and quick ball movement and looked set to score a crushing victory, something we hadn't been able to do for a few years. Everything was looking good.

but it was somewhat ruined because Essenscum played so obviously bad early on giving away frees and 50ms continuously and then in the last quarter we slowed right up and let them in for 5 out of the last 6 goals (or something like that). Was still a good win and I'll take the points any time but those two things kinda took the edge of it

Sitting behind Bail's kick to Pettard, rnd 2, last quarter. Jumping up thinking that we'd won.

A very, very brief moment - but by an absolutely street the best moment of 2010.

They were filthy that day, although they definitely had the worse of the umpires in the first half.

Loved watching Scully run riot against the bulldogs in the last quater, I'll go with that.

I spent three quarters of the demolition of Sydney actually up in Sydney, enjoying the company of [the most beautiful woman in the world], and only got scores via text from my brother. I'd given him specific instructions to let me know how we were going with the start, since our starts had been a problem... ha ha ha haaaaa good times.

Anyway, my totally non-AFL friend up there actually suggested we find a pub and see if we could catch the remainder of the game. Took some searching in Sydney but we settled in for the last quarter, which was a bit of an anticlimax as we all know. But the thing is... how often in the last few years, even in the better years before, have we had an opponent totally sewn up at three quarter time?

So in a funny way, I can't say I had an exciting time, but maybe for me the 'pure fact' that we had turned a corner was more plain. I went into a game thinking we'd likekly win, then we won by a bigger margin than I could have hoped. Just the fact pf it is pretty potent.

That was the Richmond game, I think. I remember it well because Sylvia hadn't had a great game.

I'm sure Davey started it with a 1-2 handball in defense and then setup #32 with a beautiful kick.

The Tigers were coming hard but that goal put them out of it.

i have said it before, but Jack Trengove's goal in round 3 is still in my head. The start of the journey i think.

If anyone can post this goal via youtube or other, please do. I can't remember it!!!

Yeah , we got a few 50's but by the letter of the law they were all there , scragging after marks , running over the mark .

Sucks having bad disiplin . :P

Victory over Adelaide in Round 3.

We didn't win a game during the pre season, were thrashed in round one and robbed the following week.

We needed to prove to ourselves and to the world that we were capable of winning again.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
