HAWTHORN has Josh Hill, David Hale and an unnamed defender on its wish list this trade week.

While the Hawks' general manager of player personnel and strategy Chris Pelchen has warned that the club won't trade if the asking price is too high, he has identified the Bulldogs forward and Kangaroos ruckman as targets.

However he has refused to comment on the defender in their sights, except to say it's not Chris Tarrant.

Warnock may well be that unnamed defender but who knows, pick 19 would be a viable trade for him but I don't see the Hawks putting it on the table. More likely to be their 2nd round pick and somebody not getting games in the seniors.

Apparently the unnamed defender is Cale Hooker from the Bombers - if you believe what is reported on BF.

Latest rumour is that a deal has been done between St.Kilda and Melbourne. Robert Eddy and Jarryn Geary to Melbourne for Matthew Warnock, just soughting out a shuffle of draft picks.

Got to be false. Nobody would want Eddy after watching the Grand Finals ..... we certainly wouldn't

Got to be from someone with a twisted sense of humour

Yeah, had a Raph Clarke in that first one.

Just trying to work out what gap on the list these two would fill if the rumour turns out to be true?

Warnock clearly isn't starting 22 anymore, but extremely handy should injuries strike Garland, Frawley or Rivers.

I was thinking Warnock to Freo, Tarrant to Collingwood, Collingwoods first rounder to us. Then we could use pick 12 and 32 for Hale and 17, and then have pick 17 and 27 (approx - not sure what Pies'first pick was).

Collingwood buggered that up by using their firswt rounder on Kracker I think?

I think we need 2 things, probably in this order:

- Fwd-ruck = Hale

- Lock-down small defender with good kicking skills

Agree Warnock is very handy but if he doesn't get more opportunities who could blame him for wanting to leave when he's OOC at the end of 2011.

Me neither. If he has asked to be traded, they should do their best. He's been a great servant during several of our toughest years and just happens to have been overtaken by two very good young footballers.

The fact that Warnock played a fair bit of VFL at the end of the season means we can't go in to negotiations pretending he's our most precious commodity, but at the same time tall, dependable backmen are scarce in the AFL.

Do Geary and Eddy quite cut it?

The deranged ramblings of a delusional Saints supporter, surely.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
