Really really liked Whiteboard Wednesday week 24 with Bails.

Going through all the most relevant statistics which show our improvement from 2009 to 2010 and our aims for 2011. Really exciting stuff.

What did other people think?

(to watch, it is up on youtube)

Firstly, how much better has the website and demons media coverage in general become...whiteboard wed is just one of soo many cool insights into the club and what the people that matter think about our progress as a team and a club!

Interesting insights this week...stats can get lost on me at times but this breakdown got me excited!

Looking forward to some coverage over the summer...is a weekly update too much to ask? I mean we all go stir crazy without our footy fix...especially now that cricket is [censored]!

good insight, although I couldn't help but feel that all those stats kind of fed in to one another..... nevertheless good to see some progress being made.

One other observation.... Jack Watts and Jordie McKenzie were missing from the list of young players who would be getting games under their belt?????, and Nathan Jones was missing from the list of experienced players that Bails said would be at the club next year, yet he clearly made reference to Cam Bruce being at the club next year.. hmmmmmmm

Steady on lad! Don't read too much into things.

The senior guys Bails was referring to are 26+ years of age with experience and are in the leadership group. Jonesy doesn't fit in there.

As for Watts and McKenzie... yeh fair call as to why they weren't included amongst the youngsters. Can't fit all 44 listed players, I guess. Even though those two are pivotal...

I knew someone would say this. So what? Mark Jamar wasn't there either, but I'll bet he has some say in the leadership of our ruck division.

Guest Rojik of the Arctic

I finally got a chance to have a look at it, and though there was no earth-shattering news there it was a sensible and smart message to us. The message was that "we have a plan and the plan is working but it is a work in progress. Get ready for better times."

Anyone worrying that a name or two were not mentioned are just playing Chicken Little. Individuals were mentioned mostly as examples to illustrate the theory.

Nice analysis, and certainly confirms what we already know.

Was interesting, and surprising, the absolute gulf between Green-Bruce and then Davey-Moloney-Rivers. i.e about 100 games. That equates to 5 years!.

Certainly shows why we have been floundering at the bottom for the past couple. At least we have now built and are building a proper foundations as demonstrated by Bails.

I went to the youth summit a while ago and that was one thing that was a common theme, we want more media available to us on the website. Now obviously a lot of the specific thoughts and ideas that were proposed were for the most part unrealistic, but it certainly the club has listened regarding coverage available on the website.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
