So does anyone have anything concrete to add to this? An article, a quote from a reliable source? So far I see two pages of baseless speculation.

Well, let's state some facts: PETTERD, GARLAND AND RIVERS AREN'T GOING

You happy?

And the articles: HERALD SUN THE AGE

That's everything you asked for, you should be happy.

Ha ha this si too funny.

I'll not only drive a 31 yr old who's best is well behind him, but I'll pack his bags and buy him lunch on the way up.

Seriously calm down.

As if bruce a 31 yr old, not a KPP or realy a star of the comp would add anything to fledging club other than holding a kid back for another two years.

I do not think Bruce will be playing for us in 2 years, so why would the GC want him?

They wouldn't, BUT..... if they do, it will be a steal for us.

You underestimate the significance of their lack of senior leadership.

This will be crucial in forming a club culture and Cam Bruce is seriously a perfect guy formthis purpose.

His on-field performance is largely irrelevant.

Bruce turns 31 this year and would be in the twilight of his career. So the question is what can we get for him? Another Jack Grimes?

no- another Jack---Trengove.

Crap. It all started with RDB going to Carlton in 1960 before the exsting franchise monsters came in.

And as usual you missed the posters valid point

Loyalty is most misused term by posters for their own ends

He wont get "top coin" if he goes to GC and he wont get "top coin" at MFC if he stays when his contract expires.

Rhino new avatar is sensational

Mind you, since when do we abuse posters for having trade discussions on Demonland?

True, but when I saw his name mentioned I must admit I thought then this'd be the last time I visit this thread.

The Bruce bashing on here is a disgrace to this site. It makes no difference whether or not people or mods even agree, the point is he deserves a lot more respect than he gets. A WHOLE lot more.

Gutless keyboard heroes on here. If I could I'd give the ringleaders a month off.

Could this be Cam's manager dropping goss to Sheahan, to try and peak the Dees interest in our highest paid player, who in the twilight of his career is uncontracted at season's end?

Come now Redleg! GC wont take Bruce because he is not a Queenslander.

I agree with you in everything you say, but the gc is allowed one contracted player from each club, so in saying that, if we lost Bruce it would not hurt as in anyway, and that would be a good thing for the club, that would mean, we would not have to worry anymore about losing a good young kid,but i love Bruce, but time has passed him and he is no real lose at his age sorry cam thanks for the memories

Actually Miller makes perfect sense.... Mt Gravatt boy returning home to Qld

Strong body...mid age... leadership qualities....just what the doctor ordered for Gold Coast.

..and his wife could get a job as a meter maid! Perfect

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
