Deluded Tigers Fans

That's the reason why I actually feel happy knowning Mclean is at Carlton. He couldn't see us developing, and he wanted out. good! see ya later mclean and never come back. We don't need ya, and we'll wave at you on the way past as we climb over carlton next year.

I would say it is the complete opposite, he could see what our midfield was going to be like in a few years and knew he would struggle to get a game

He(?) just looks like a [censored] I think.

He's just stating that they must be on something if they think they can get Scully.

Or get off the bottom of the ladder.

Prepare for the Tasmania Tigers

1. There wouldn't be 41,000 people on that site. Do you know there's 32,000 people here?

2. They wouldn't all sign up anyway. It's normally just one-five people that do it for a laugh.

Agreed. I hate it when supporters do this crap. Some of the demon supporters on bigfooty are the worst. They make us all look bad.

And apropos of this subject, here's a news item in today's media:-

JUSTICE IN MELBOURNE COURTROOM by the Age Family Law Department

A seven-year old boy was at the centre of a Melbourne courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Richmond football team, whom the boy firmly believes is not capable of beating anyone.

Interstate draftees get an extra season (I believe)

???

Not at all, as far as I know.

This is a special case where we offered 3 years to both Trengove and Tapscott purely for list management reasons.

Fair enough, I just remember hearing somewhere that in interstate draftee could get an extra year on their initial contract.

All interstae draftees get "at least" 2 years. The SA boys have been offered an extra year.

I think also high draft picks (first round?) get 2 years. Which is why Tom has 2 years despite being a local. But I'm not sure about that.

I would be surprised if all draftees got 2 years.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
